Indian Ocean – Ashton Under LyneThis place is, like my review suggests, outstanding. When you first walk in the restaurant, the interior isn't very welcoming. It kind of reminded me of an indoor swimming pool, but as soon as you pass the first test, and go through the second door to the actual restaurant, it's top quality through and through.
Bouzouki By Night – Manchester City CentreMy boyfriend and I have been here on quite a few occasions and found the staff all very pleasent and welcoming. The food has always been very enjoyable and my steaks cooked exactly the way I like them. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice quite, leisurely meal.
The Black Ladd – OldhamI've been to all of the Nepalese restaurants in Manchester and none can beat the Gurkha Grill for quality and quantity Amazing menu with loads of specialities - worth asking the staff to recommend something for you If you plan to visit Thursday to Sunday I'd recommend that you book in advance as they've got even more popular since their refurbishment
Gurkha Grill – DidsburyLunch at the Lowry was excellent. The food was delicious and light, simple and value for money. The service is what you'd expect from a five star hotel owned by Rocco Forte, in suroundings that are designed to make you feel special without the intimidating and cold atmosphere of other fine dining establishments...dinner is next on my hit list and I won't be driving!
The River Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel – Manchester City CentreBest food in Manchester, bar none.
Aladdin – DidsburyGrinch is definitely a pesonal favourite of mine- it's so cosy and has such a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and is better than the standard of most wine- bar-restaurant type establishments. I had a Duck Pizza which was fab and only £5 during happy hour. My favourite food here is their Special Chicken- it is a real must as no-where else does anything as good! Proof that independant places like this really can do better than all the chains that seem to dominate Manchester these days.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreThe address is a bit misleading being at the back of the buildings at the corner of Deansgate and Quay Street, but well worth finding his little gem. Very handy for the The Opera House, The Triangle, and Castlefield on nights out in the city centre, and we often make an 8 mile round trip just for a special lunch time meet-up. An informal atmosphere and cordial welcome awaits you, and questions on the dishes are welcomed with friendly, enthusiastic advice. The food is fantastic - try a few tapas followed by Paella and the odd glass of red wine.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City Centrethe a la carte restaurant is impressive; tasty food, well presented etc. however, the pizzeria can only be described as dissappointing. poor, slow service, letchy wiaters, a long wait and food which doesnt live up to the restaurants reputation. a fine location, the function room is wonderful; and food in there absolutely fantastic. as for the pizzeria; give it a miss, spend a few more pennies and enjoy a real meal downstairs in the a la carte bit
Bellavista – Rochdaleoverall not that good but i can sense the coming of a big business for the future.
Suhag Indian Cuisine – AudenshawThe place was incredibally better than Far Pavillion 2 in atherton
New Far Pavilion – SwintonHey! I've been to the Wagamama only once, but I'll definetly go there again. Even my parents liked the atmosphere-it's stylish and looks a little bit like a university refectory- but that's perfect. The guests don't spend to much time to sit around after there meal-that seems to be part of the concept which is great as there can be a long queue. We had about 20 people standing in front of us it we only waited 5 minutes. The service is quick- food is served when it's ready and it comes immediately- so one might have to wait longer than the others, but it's fresh. I had Ramen noodles with chicken and coriander- it' was just delicious!! The noodles were good, the chicken was crispy and the coriander was fresh. Sorry- I can't remember the price for it. But as a student you get a discount on the bill (only food i guess) before 7 pm. It's worth it!! I'm going to buy a t-shirt there aswell one day! Go there and try- you'll love it if you like chinese, thai or indian food. Enjoy! mieke
Wagamama – The PrintworksA wonderful restaurant - excellent food and excellent service. On one visit a group of 22 of us ate there, and the service and food was still outstanding.
Jitrada Thai Restaurant – SaleMyself and friends are going to eat there for xmas !
Red Lounge – Audenshawwhat a brilliant place - buzzy atmosphere, gorgeous food and top staff
Wagamama – The PrintworksI go to Smiths over and over again. The informal atmosphere and friendly staff are only surpassed by the excellent quality of food and drink. The quality of a 'top' Manchester restaurant at a price affordable to just about anyone. Brilliant!
Smiths Restaurant – EcclesGreat Food and lovely ambience
Puccini Pizzeria – SwintonI took my girlfriend there in the first week I met her, and because we had such a good time there we are going back for our anniversary, food, service, everything was excellent
