Vine Inn – StourbridgeGood food, hearty portions, efficient service even when they are busy, what's not to like?
The Red Lion – CoventryBooked for two for a Monday lunch, arrived on time to be shown a more than adequate table and ordered from the lunch menu (starter and main) both arrived well presented and timely. The garlic mushrooms, pate and steak and guiness pie were to die for at a very reasonable price, we'll certainly be booking again in the future. Great pub atmosphere, friendly staff and convivial outside space.
The Red Lion – CoventryWe’ve eaten here before and it’s been nice enough. We booked the Sunday as we wanted the Sunday dinner. Arrived late afternoon, firstly they run out of turkey and belly pork. Then a few minutes after taking our order we were told they didn’t have any Sunday dinners left at all. All other meals are with chips, no sides of potatoes or anything different instead of having to have chips. Took ages for someone to even come and take an order, around 20 minutes, in fact a table tat sat down after us were served first. Couldn’t get a drink at the bar for ages as they were completing orders from tables before serving at the bar in the restaurant. The staff though were polite and friendly when we did eventually talk with them, although the first person to greet us, possibly a manager or owner looked like they really couldn’t be bothered to be there. Other servers were nice though. We eventually left as the start of the journey was disappointing and the fact that they run out of Sunday dinners on a Sunday seemed a bit disorganised. Appreciate places can be busy, but I also think you should cater for specific days if that’s one of your selling points
The Red Lion – CoventryFriendly and helpful staff. Tasty food. Very enjoyable evening. Hope to go again
Aqua Food and Mood – CoventryFantastic as always
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldMy wife and I have been to the Vine many times. Food is always excellent, staff helpful, general atmosphere is great. This time we had meals from the specials board - fish and pheasant. Both meals were of a high standard, with excellent service. Thank you to Simon and the staff. Highly recommended
Vine Inn – StourbridgeFood was very good
The Red Lion – CoventryFood excellent. Service very food very attentive waitress.
Da Gino – Sutton ColdfieldExcellent
The Red Lion – CoventryDisappointing first visit. Booked a table, was very busy as expected. Food took way longer than were advised it might be. Had to ask twice. Food was not of the standard it should be for the price we paid. I understand it gets busy when the sun comes out but nearly 2 hours for food is not acceptable. Service also wasn’t the best. Will not be returning or recommending.
The Red Lion – CoventryLovely meal yesterday (10.5.25), enjoyed my Balmoral Chicken, and the beer, and the service :).
Vine Inn – StourbridgeDisappointing choice-several dishes not available, including “Specials”. Perhaps Monday is not a good day.
Vine Inn – StourbridgeSteak pie was very tasty and full of lean steak. The lasagne was one of the best my wife has had. Reasonable priced wine. Comfortable pub with nice atmosphere. We will have to enquire about the loyalty scheme
The Red Lion – CoventrySteak was delightful and the dirty burger was just something else!! Both meals were amazing. The meal was a nice quiet birthday celebration for a couple with down time from family commitments and so worth the visit. Staff were polite and helped with anything that was asked of them. Food on the higher end but worth it occasionally. Highly recommended.
The Red Lion – CoventryFirst visit and highly delighted by the experience. Lovely ambience and the owner and staff were friendly and on point. Food first class and decent if not very generous portions. An excellent find as this is authentic Italian.
