This is our fifth visit and will continue to do so. Staff are friendly and welcoming, service is excellent, food is tasty, good value for money, and always piping hot.

Ambience and food was absolutely lovely, couldn’t fault it at all and would definitely recommend. The only disappointment was the service - arrived for 12.30 when the table was booked, and was asked what we wanted to drink within a couple of minutes but as one of the party was absent from the table, we asked if they could come back. Unfortunately it was 45 mins before we were then asked what drink we wanted, at the same time as our food order (we were clearly forgotten about). Whilst I appreciate the staff were busy, it was no excuse sadly.

Phoned up mid afternoon to see if there was a table. Booked it for 5 and was sat down before that. Food was fab as usual and the service was great.

Lovely meal by a warm fire.. perfect for cold winter evening. Highly recommend the game pie!

Took the parents to red lion earlier in the week to celebrate my father's birthday. All meals were lovely although the parents being older would have preferred thier liver and mash on a plate with a little less gravy other than in a bowl swimming in gravy, all the same they both said how nice and tasty it was. The lady who served us was lovely and ensured we had everything we wanted throughout our time there. Have been here for celebrations previously and would certainly go again. Lovely country pub feel with real fire to keep us warm and well priced, I think you can take dogs in the bar too but not in the main area for eating. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon.

First trip late on a Sunday afternoon so several things sold out. However, really enjoyed the food which tasted like home cooking. Loved the log burners, will definitely go back.

Excellent food freshly cooked, friendly staff ,wonderful atmosphere

Second time of coming boy the vine and overall experience was good, however some training is needed with staff. We had to ask for our accompanying veg after waiting some time . This was noted by others in the restraunt. Causing negative comments from them. I write this to help you improve not to just criticise. We like the Vine locality and atmosphere.

Super food and friendly staff

Just had a lovely starter and main meal 4 for £16 each and it was well presented and pippin hot and we sat near the fire couldn't fault it 10 out 10 We will be back soon

Booked for 8 of us to celebrate my sons 21st . All the food was lovely . Desserts bit on the small side fir the price though . Great service and lovely staff team ,will deffinatley return .

I booked online for the lunch on Sunday the 7th January as it was my birthday. The meal was very good and both my husband and I enjoyed what we chose from the menu. I did think though as I said it was my birthday that my pudding could have come with a candle on it. It would have been a nice touch. We will definitely go back again and try something different on the varied and interesting menu.

We had a lovely family meal at The Red Lion. Staff were lovely and friendly. Service and food were excellent. Highly recommend, we will be going back again.
