The choice was very good but very sorry to say the food was not very hot. Round just one time finish with a cold plate of food . Don't think I will be coming back

Had high expectations for this restaurant but was sadly disappointed. The initial service and greeting were good but the food was not! The food was varied but unfortunately served cold or at best warm and the beef was chewy. Having paid nearly £40 for 2 meals, we will not be visiting again

A pre-theatre buffet ought to be a straightforward proposition. You arrive, help yourself to a decent plate of food, perhaps go back for something you particularly enjoyed, and head off to the auditorium pleasantly fed and ready for an evening's entertainment. Simple enough, you might think. Apparently not. We visited Mi Panda at Warwick Arts Centre before a show, which you might reasonably imagine would be prime time for a restaurant whose principal selling point is having food ready and waiting. Instead, we found ourselves surveying what appeared to be the aftermath of a particularly unsuccessful office Christmas party. The spring rolls were limp, the crispy duck had vanished entirely (assuming it had ever made an appearance), and what remained of several dishes was languishing in the bottom of serving trays, surrounded by sauces slowly congealing into something that might have interested a food scientist. The prawn crackers existed only as an empty bowl, presumably as a tribute to happier times. Rice and noodles, those great dependable staples of the Chinese buffet, were represented by forlorn little quantities huddled at the bottom of enormous serving bowls. And nothing, absolutely nothing, was properly hot. Which is quite an achievement for a restaurant specialising in food that's supposed to be served hot. Dessert offered little consolation. The chocolate fountain was nowhere to be seen, the selection was miserly, and there was precisely one choice of fruit. One. At this point, a tin of fruit cocktail would have felt positively extravagant. Did we complain? No. We had a show to get to, and frankly lacked the time or enthusiasm to embark upon a search for someone who might care. The staff appeared to have perfected the art of looking straight through their customers, which, given the state of the buffet, was perhaps a useful professional skill. The whole experience had less of the atmosphere of a restaurant and more that of a badly managed staff canteen, late on a Friday afternoon, after everyone responsible for replenishing the food had gone home. I don't expect Michelin-starred cuisine from an all-you-can-eat buffet. I do, however, expect there to be something worth eating, preferably at a temperature above that of the surrounding room. Mi Panda managed to turn the promise of abundance into a rather depressing exercise in scarcity. We won't be back.

Very disappointing. Most of the food items had run out and we had to wait ages for them to be restocked. They didn’t prepare a table for our booked party so they had to move the tables around when we arrived. Also very expensive if you have tall children who exceed the height limit. We have been several times before and this was the worst Also the chocolate fountain has been removed even though they advertise it

We had a lovely time at the Warwickshire Lad. Staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. As it was a bit quiet we could choose our table and there was only a short wait for the food which was great! Really hot and definitely home cooked! Will be returning asap!

I love the Warwickshire Lad. It’s my local restaurant andK use it often. On Monday night three of our party of five really had a great meal. Two of the party were vegan. It wasn’t clear that the ant based Burger had egg in the bun. They couldn’t even have the fries as they were fried with fish. This should be highlighted in the menu. The two concerned did have a really nice Mediterranean vegan Pie. But I think a vegan starter could be offered and wouldn’t be too difficult
