Really lovely food great atmosphere will be back

We went for an early before attending a nearby event. The place felt very homely with logs burning in the fireplace. The service was second to none. The food arrive swiftly. All the dishes were delicious. We couldn't fault anything.

Really enjoyed our visit, good atmosphere and friendly. The food was really good, well presented and hot. Staff very helpful and polite.

Our first visit here. We both chose from the christmas menu and had 2 courses. My meal was very nice. Blade of beef cooked to perfection. Sadly my partners vegetarian meal was lacking. The celeriac roast was really a tasteless mush and all of the meal merged into one tasteless soginess somehow. We thought the celeriac "roast" would be something with more bite and tastiness. However he has become acustemed to poor veggi meals in mainly carnivorous eating establishments. The trifle was mainly a huge cream topping. Very little fruit and jelly. Looked fab with sprinkles but didn't deliver. The dark chocolate mousse was very nice and the crushed ginger biscuit a great touch. Staff were stretched. 2 on the ground when we arrived and a very full pub. We were billed for all items seperately. Glad I checked because we ordered as a 2 courses deal.

Love this pub staff lovely food fantastic and our server was ace he went above and beyond and made me a salad what wasn't on menu big thank you to the kitchen staff too great place !

Had the roast Turkey. Delicious. Thank you. Cheese and onion pie was also very tasty. The trifle would have been better if it was set.

Great local pub with quality home cooked food. The staff are always friendly and very attentive. Would highly recommend

Party of 9 and we all enjoyed, food was piping hot and delicious. Lovely service from the waitresses and nothing too much trouble. Only criticism and this is personal preference but I don't think dogs should be allowed when people are eating.

Had a fantastic meal at The Traders on 10th December and 11th December! A great atmosphere and staff couldn't do enough I was lucky to win a £50 voucher so I will definitely be back in January to celebrate my Birthday!

First time visiting The Traders which gives a cosy traditional vibe and it felt so Christmassy. At the time we visited it wasn’t too busy so our meal was relaxing and lovely The staff worked so hard and on the go the whole time we were there. The food from the Christmas menu was cooked perfectly, and very enjoyable. Massive portions too

From the the jolly welcome to the goodbyes we found The Traders to be a friendly & warm place to be. The food was outstanding. Three course Sunday roast for us all & all courses were beautiful, the beef so tender. All ingredients so fresh, well cooked & presented, with generous portions. We cannot wait to return.

Varied menu so there was something to suit everyone. I loved the tempura cauliflower and my other half said the pulled lamb special was really tasty. The service was friendly and prompt and it’s a pleasant, traditional pub atmosphere - that’s why we’re regulars !!

Lovely meal yesterday lunchtime at the traders with my friend! Steak pie and the cheese n onion pie were both delicious. A warm welcome by staff matched with a lovely warm fire. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you.

Had a lovely lunch. Food was delicious. Had the deal where a drink was included and the latte coffee was amazing. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. Have booked for evening in a few weeks and looking forward to a lovely evening
