We will definitely be visiting The Dog Inn restaurant again. The food was delicious. We highly recommend a visit. You certainly won't be disappointed. The food is well presented and cannot fault the service and atmosphere.

The vegan cauliflower steak with triple cooked chips was awesome, as was the leek & potato soup. Wish this place was on our doorstep, but definitely worth the drive there. Will definitely revisit.

The Dog Inn – BlackburnI think if you know me well, you know I'm fussy and have the highest standards when it comes to good food. After having eaten at some next level, high calibre restaurants and having been lucky enough to to have been cooked some amazing, top quality chef standard foods at home over the years by trained chefs, I know the difference between a top meal and standard restaurant food. Lately I've had a lot of standard and less than standard food. Tonight was literally best tasting food we've eaten in a long time, so much so we didn't even get a photo of starters, looked so good. I'd strongly recommend this place. This is the remnents of scallops with black pudding, chicken crackling with pea puree and salt and pepper ribs with pickled slaw and something or other awesome. Mains - pulled pork bun, curried fries (literally best thing I've ever put in mouth), red slaw and pickled cucumber. Mate... If you want a good meal, eat here. There are no where near enough good eateries of this standard outside of machester, in the east Lancashire area and I hope that this place sets the standard for other restaurants and eateries in the area. Seriously if you know of any other places as good as here, in the east Lancashire or north Yorkshire area let me know xxx
The Dog Inn – BlackburnWe've been here twice and have really enjoyed the experience both times. Once was a beautiful day so we sat in the back enjoying the view and the second was a rainy day so we sat in the cosy pub area. Both times we were greeted by the friendly staff and our dog was given lots of cuddles and attention. The food is excellent, we were particularly impressed with the leek and potato soup served alongside our sandwiches which came with crisps on top! We'll definitely be regulars at The Dog Inn!

The Dog Inn – BlackburnEnjoyed a pleasant afternoon at the 'Dog inn' with my family including our 18 month old granddaughter. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff. We had the brisket chilli and some had the sirloin steak special , everyone enjoyed their food, we finished with a lovely drink on the patio with beautiful vistas.
