My children took me to Calypso last Sunday for Mothers Day. I had never eaten Caribbean food before and absolutely loved it. There was a great atmosphere and the staff were wonderful We had the platter and that was great as we were able to sample lots of different dishes I will certainly be returning at every opportunity and would recommend to anyone.

The hottest tastiest fish chips and peas in Lancashire, my wife and myself have a chippy once a week on a Friday and can thoroughly recommend it, we have enjoyed it over five years and hope to enjoy it for a lot more, Thank you to the staff at Roe lee chippy

i would most certainly recommend this restaurant me and a friend had a lovely meal, there was so much to choose from an caters for all kinds of tastes ,the friendly atmosphere and food compliment each other ,we had a lovely day an thanks to all the staff ,and compliments to the chef !! im sure this restaurant will do great ,it's definitely worth going and seeing for yourself ,we will definitely be going back again *****,

I have to say that this restaurant is what I would call a gem of a place!!!!.......The food is excellent, the atmosphere is the same, and the staff are all friendly and there for your every need!!! The chef Dave id so dedicated to his customers that he actually comes out and mingles with them and explains all about the food he is serving!!!.....for me its a pleasure and will be eating there on a regular basis!!! for you who haven't tried it..............do it!!!!! well done and 10 out of ten from me!!

I had the pleasure of dining here on Sunday night and I was very impressed! I have heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to pay a visit here for my friends birthday too be honest I was a little worried before I came here as my friends are very fussy eaters and hate spicy food but too my delight they all opted for the platter, wow! it was truly amazing and everyone including the fussiest of eaters tucked in and enjoyed most of the dish apart from the Mutton Curry that was a little too hot for them, I was really happy about this seen as this was the best curry I have ever had so more for me! You should definitely give this place a try, it lives up to the hype! will be paying another visit here soon!!!!!

Have now dined on several occasions. The level of consistent excellence is outstanding, from entering, through choosing and then eating, in my opinion it's as good as it gets. The size of the bill is OK as well!! My favourite Bangladeshi restaurant of all time was Nawab in Broughty Ferry, Scotland, which is now closed because of redevelopment. Best recommendation i can give Sylhet, Hutton, is that it's well worth a considerable detour to enjoy the grub and the atmosphere!! GB!

went 12th Feb for my birthday ( 20 of us). we as a family go nearly every week, always a good night and would recommend to everyone.

Had a wonderful night at Northcote during the Obsession Festival. The appropriately named Tom Kitchin was at the stove. Fantastic food and great company on our table. Matthew Fort of Great British Menu fame held a witty court. Proud to have this esteemed event in the Red Rose county!

Not good food. Too much MSG. Staff not helpful. No enough staff.

i would recommend NOT to visit to eat. its over priced frozen food, its pub grub that isn't good.

We absolutely love the Clog & Billycock and have been several times now. The food is superb, the staff brilliant and the atmosphere is always buzzing.

We are hoping to book a table to celebrate our daughters first wedding anniversary. That is their choice when we were thinking of somewhere special!!! The fish cooked in leaves I find superb

Excellent Jalfrezi served with style and professionalism in a spotless and contemporary environment. Really liked the warm way all the staff greeted each other with a hug in the Muslim way. Its BYO too so save a wad on booze mark ups!

I have been to the shajan last saturday (12th Decemeber) and i have got to say the service ad food is fantastic! the whole restaurant was packed to the seems and i thought my girlfriend and I would never get to sit down when we first arrived. However to my great surprise and pleasure we were sat down on a table within 20 minutes where we were given menu's and drinks! The young manager there was fantastic he took our drink orders and our food order and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He also allowed us to change many things on our order which we could not normally do at any other restaurant for example i wanted my Makhani chicken madras hot with chop chillis in it and he said that wasn't a problem. The starters and main courses came quickly and we were not waiting very long at all, the food was AMAZING i have been all over the country tasting curries and i must say this place has got to be on top. The atmosphere is great the service and staff are just so perfect i can not wait to go back.

We have been dining with The Shajan for 11 years. It's a 70 mile round trip but we know that when we get there we will be treat like royalty and the food will be consistently fantastic! We live near 'The Curry Capital' but we have NEVER found an Indian Restaurant that could knock The Shajan off this extremely high pedestal that it so deserves to perch on!! I wish Zabi would come back from Bangladesh though.
