Always good food and pleasant and helpful staff
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe enjoyed our meal in pleasant surroundings with lovely staff.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe dined here as we have eaten a good Sunday roast previously at The Trader’s Arms. A rather plain menu ,but with well cooked food . We shared a main course of ribs as a starter .Tasty and plenty for two. Main courses were pepperoni pizza and a steak pie with chips and peas. Again ,plenty of good quality food. We decided to treat ourselves as it was a special anniversary and ordered strawberry trifles. These were disappointing. Hardly any sponge fingers. The jelly was over diluted and the custard seemed tinned! The service was excellent though. Polite, thoughtful and experienced. The general atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnMy steak pie was lovely as usual but it seemed much smaller than last time Fine for me but it wouldn't have been enough for my husband especially as the chips were bland and unappetising tonight. He enjoyed his ribs plus fries and salad, said they were the best he'd had but was not impressed with them being served on a wobbly board. Why do chefs still do this? Service was excellent, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAs always our food was excellent, no complaints there. However the service was disappointing. There were only two serving drinks and food, their job made more difficult with customers sat outside and coming in and out for drinks. They did their best but were overwhelmed at times.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnFabulous food service and ambience
The Traders Arms – BlackburnFabulous food service and ambience
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe came as a party of 4 to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a great time! The waiting staff were lovely, two very pretty, pleasant young ladies. The food was superb, and the drinks very reasonably priced. Great service rounded off a really nice Sunday lunch, and we will definitely be back.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnVery disappointed with our meals and service, something had gone horribly wrong. It took 2 hours to serve mains and a desert. The chips were awful, soggy and tasteless, surely they should be getting chips right! The steak pie was so small for the price and the pastry was soggy, £16.50 for small piece of pie, soggy chips and garden peas is ridiculous. The waitresses were stood around chatting with drinks in their hands. This place has gone downhill since we last visited.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAs always a lovely meal, pleasant staff and good atmosphere.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAbsolutely brilliant Mothers Day meal. We had the Cotes De Boeuf special which we requested and it was fantastic. Thanks Chef. Kids meals and starters were also great and they went down a treat. Service is spot on as always by Linzi and the team and you always like you are getting great value for money. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable experience.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAbsolutely fantastic food ambience and service was absolutely packed out and deserved to be
The Traders Arms – BlackburnTook my mother as an early mother's day treat. Couldn't fault the meal. The garlic mushroom start was lovely. We had meals from the lunchtime specials menu. The portions we just enough, not to over facing. Meals were reasonably priced. Lovely friendly staff. Not the first time we've eaten there and won't be the last
The Traders Arms – BlackburnThe food was excellent and the service was great too, no pressure to leave the table after the meal and very good value.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe overall had a nice meal for my Dads birthday on Sunday evening. On recommendations we came for the Sunday roast and it was lovely! Unfortunately the service let the place down, whilst they were attentive when asked, we had to ask numerous times to order drinks etc and both the mains and puddings took along time to come. Would definitely return for the food however.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnSunday evening meal, was not the same standard that we enjoyed on a previous end of week lunch. Maybe different chef?
The Traders Arms – BlackburnExcellent Sunday lunch served by friendly staff. We will return.
