Visited 9th August and decided to have the duck. Turned up overcooked and returned 2nd duck also overcooked chef should know duck is served pink. In there defence this was my 3rd visit and first bad meal i was offered another meal but my wife and friend were half way through their meal. Wasn’t charged for my meal and staff were great and the food and drink reasonably priced. Won’t put me off visiting again has anyone can have a off day.

The Traders Arms – BlackburnI visited The Traders yesterday with my brother and sister to celebrate our birthdays. The table was booked for 1pm and we arrived at 12-50pm. We placed our orders for main courses which arrived at 1-45pm! I had asked one of the waitresses if they usually took so long to get their orders out and she said that they were a chef down and only had a trainee chef. The servings were minuscule and would have been insufficient for a seven year old! My sister and I agreed that we would have a pudding but were then advised that there were no sponge/ pancakes/ trifles of the day! A very disappointing visit, especially as we had not visited for some time and had received good reports about the place. I complained about the long wait and the small portions and received an apology. Could not possibly recommend this establishment to anyone.

The Traders Arms – BlackburnI hadn’t been to The Traders’ for many years but when my mother in-law suggested it for ‘tea out’ on a Wednesday evening I thought it’d be worth a visit to see what’s what. I made an easy-to-use online booking via the pub’s website and we arrived about two minutes late. The pub was bustling but we were greeted very promptly and shown straight to a nice table. We ordered drinks at the table and they arrived very quickly. Loads of menu choices - not necessarily ‘fancy’ - more traditional pub fayre. Mother-in-law chose fish and chips, I chose the steak pie. Both meals, again, arrived quickly and were generous of proportion and not lacking in flavour nor presentation (such as is possible with those dishes). Overall, we were both quite satisfied with our visit and would have no reservation with regard to revisiting! I dealt with two members of staff during our visit, both of whom were pleasant, efficient and welcoming.

The Traders Arms – BlackburnMe and my mum visited on a Sunday lunchtime and both got the small Sunday lunch then Apple pie & custard. The food was excellent everything was cooked really nice and tasted lovely the small was big enough for us as we don't eat large portions our server was Neive she was fantastic very attentive even though she was busy and nothing was too much trouble very friendly young lady , all the other staff where lovely and a credit to the business owner. This pub is welcoming friendly and offering fantastic home cooked food if you haven't tried it yet it's most definitely worth a visit Thank you we will be back ! Zoe & Bev xx
