Staff and atmosphere was great. Food was enjoyable but some dishes lacked Finesse. I found the scallop dish was average. The dauphinoise was not as indulgent as I would like. The seabass main was tremendous and I loved the truffle fries. My wife said her halloumi starter and pouched chicken was tasty but she agreed about the potatoes needed more salt and cream but I guess that’s individual taste. I would go back to try the other dishes

One of us was vegetarian, it was nice to see more than one option available on the menu! Both of our dishes were amazing , full of flavour and nice presentation. Desserts were superb too. Service was attentive. Couldn't ask for anymore.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsHad such a lovely lunch on Saturday 27th September I was so impressed. We had hake and chunky chips with homemade tarter sauce which was amazing! The minted peas were delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were light and crispy. We also had a chicken and bacon egg sandwich (triple sandwich can't remember the name ) was so delicious! The service could of been quicker for ordering. And could not leave the premises with out taking a piece of fresh homemade cake ! It was absolutely divine! If your a cake fan this is your spot! Thank you for a wonderful lunch !
Union Street Brasserie – YeovilLove this place! Great coffees, avocado smash breakfast was awesome, as was the Olive full English! Staff are very attentive and couldn’t be faulted. Love the venue, great sitting outside if the weather is fine, but equally nice indoor environment! Great cakes on offer too, but we were simply too full! Definitely recommend

Everything was delicious. Service was good and it was great value for money too. I have been to this cafe several times now and it is consistently good - thoroughly recommend!

My husband and I are both vegetarian, it was so nice that the vegetarian options were carefully thought about, not just adding a vegetable risotto to the menu. Union Street Brasserie – YeovilAnother delicious lunch at The Olive Tree on 20th Sept. We have now visited The Olive Tree four or five times in 2025 and have always been impressed with the quality of food. Clearly the Chef and team use high quality ingredients that are well prepared and cooked. Also, a keen eye is used for presentation. Wines are also highly palatable. Service good too. On this visit, we brought some friends for lunch and they too were suitably impressed. Thank you to all the staff at The Olive Tree and we look forward to our next visit. We have no hesitation in recommending The Olive Tree in Wells.
