I WOULD WALK 500 MILES .... to experience another meal at Menu Gordon Jones. From the warm welcome to the personal farewell, you will feel like a special guest. The food is equally bespoke. What you read on the menu is not what you get. "Bread and soup" turns out to be a mouth-watering combination of Scottish flavours. "Steak and chips" similarly heralds unexpected delights. Interesting tastes and textures characterise the courses you will follow. Staff are friendly, knowledgable and (rightly) proud of the enjoyment they bring you. No detail is neglected. The table, cutlery and ceramics are all talking points for the curious. One word of caution. Take companionship not mobile phones to this outstanding restaurant -you'll miss out on too much. And your discourtesy will NOT go unnoticed !

Such a lovely place with a great vibe, and a fantastic menu. We visited for lunch, the service was quick, friendly and efficient and there was lots of choice on the menu and a selection of delicious cakes. I opted for the cheese toastie and I was not disappointed, finishing off with a piece of carrot cake which was delicious. I will definitely be back very soon x

Another super delicious lunch. Our 'go to' fine dining restaurant in Somerset. An inventive and creative menu always beautifully cooked and presented. Welcoming, with great, friendly service. We also consider it really good value for the high quality. It's a delight!

We had an exceptional mezze meal on one of their Saturday evening sittings this week. The food as always was sublime. The flavours, textures, fresh local ingredients, combinations & quantity never disappoint. The atmosphere was lovely - having only been in day time, it was lit beautifully. The services couldn't have been any better. Olive Kitchen & their sister cafe The Old Dairy are musts and go to's for me. Dog friendly to boot. The first place I take visitors and can't recommend highly enough.

A really lovely evening. The food was very good and the service excellent. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it. Small and cosy but with a bit of a buzz. There were six of us celebrating several birthdays and they were very accommodating about us taking in a cake. We will definitely go again soon.

We had a fabulous lunch at this lovely little restaurant. A real gem, tucked away just off the high street the menu offered some unusual options...candied pink peppercorns with the coconut ice-cream and cooked pineapple for example ..but it tasted and looked incredible!! The staff were delightful too. All in all a highly recommended place to eat ..

We've been twice now and both times the staff have been great. Food is so good and I love the frequent menu changes so we can try different foods. Really want to try the breakfast menu next as that looks amazing too!
