Delicious fresh food and welcoming friendly staff

I recently discovered The Olive and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the quirky decor and unique ambiance set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. Now, let’s talk about the food—simply amazing! Each dish was not only delicious but also nutritious and fresh, bursting with flavours that danced on the palate and in your mouth. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into the menu, which made it quite a challenge to decide what to order. I found myself wanting to try everything! I can't wait to return and work my way through the entire menu. If you're looking for a place that offers a combination of great food, a fun atmosphere, and exceptional service, The Olive is a must visit!

Delicious food in a relaxed and friendly environment. Great find in the centre of Wells.

A little quiet on a Saturday lunchtime but the food was exquisite. Service was very efficient and polite without being overpowering. The two course lunch deal was very good value and the courses were swiftly delivered. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon!

2nd mezze evening meal visit and just as fabulous as the first. Love the atmosphere, very friendly helpful service and the food takes the win. A firm favourite, highly recommended for breakfast/brunch/lunch or evening dining.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Selection of food on the menu was good and the food was well prepared, presented and tasty. Nice evening and pleasant environment in the restaurant. Very central location. Would go back again. Good experience.

Went out for an incredible evening meal had the set menu for 2. It was beautiful from the way it looked to the last mouthful. Huge portions of the most delicious food paired with a fabulous Rioja what more could you want. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming and the service was attentive and extremely friendly.

Not a pleasant experience.

Simply superb. The food was delicious from start to finish. The ambience in the dining room was delightful and relaxing, very easy to have a conversation across the table without having to shout, which you can find in some busy restaurants. To qualify this, all covers were taken and the restaurant was full, but the whole experience was relaxed, and the service was spot on. We can't wait to go back.

Splendid lunch. Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. This was our 5th visit to MGJ and the standard is as high as ever. Remains one of our top “go to” restaurants.

First visit and will definitely return. Food was delicious one of the nicest brunches I’ve had. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely decor and quiet location. Highly recommend can’t wait to revisit and try the lunch menu.
