Union Street Brasserie – YeovilNice cosy atmosphere even in winter. Amazing food with middle eastern flavours.
Olive Kitchen and Bar – YeovilExcellent dinner on Valentine's day. Tasting menu, of course, with all but one of the inventive dishes being virtually faultless. The only near miss was a too fatty piece of lamb in my meat course dish (my partner's was fine). Wine flight was good too and well-priced. House champagne is the excellent Ruinart. Service superb. Atmosphere spoiled somewhat by the music: good but too loud (for this old fogey anyway). Reasonably priced with no added service charge: that's left, as it should be, to one's discretion. A great dining experience. I look forward to our next visit.
Menu Gordon Jones – BathWe had Sunday meal very very nice. Staff friendly. Obliged us to move table thanks. Priced fairly for the quality of food, which was excellent
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsFirst time visiting Menu at Gordon Jones. We were met with a lovely personal welcome, which felt inviting. This service continued throughout. The table water with a hint of flavour was a lovely touch. The food was an explosion of flavours, and well balanced. Every dish was explained well. All staff came across as passionate about the food as did the chef. Very personable. I cannot fault the food. Each course was outstanding. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Goodfellows at 7B – WellsNot always open in the evenings but totally worth going when it is. Excellent Middle Eastern inspired small plates and a friendly welcome. Delighted that it was also kid friendly. Get there early to bag a spot by the woodburner for maximum cosy vibes.
Olive Kitchen and Bar – YeovilEnjoyed the atmosphere the staff and the food was very good but not excellent, there was room for improvement for the price ticket. Over done wedges to a crisp and small portions the steak was lovely. Desert was very nice.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsA refined take on French cuisine in Wells! My wife and I had a splendid lunchtime meal there: great food and service. Definitely going back.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsGJ retains title as King of fine dining every time we eat here. Puts other restaurants to shame.
