Great food and Friendly staff.Definitely will be going again.Thank you for lovely evening
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWe arrived slightly early where we queued for a drink then they took our order for carvery. Once we paid the bar staff showed us to our table where they said wait and someone will ask you to go up and get your carvery shortly. We waited 30 mins before being called up. The server gave us our meat (very minimal) then served us the rice & peas, veg, potatoes and gravy. No option to serve yourself like most carveries i've been to. The food was good although not a lot of it and waited too long even though they weren't busy. I would go back but not in a hurry. I think maybe a couple more staff would help and the option to serve ourselves to veg and potatoes would be better. All in all a nice atmosphere and nice food.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveVisited Christopher's for my partners birthday (21/10/25) On arrival was told certain items on the menu wasn't available. Went for the carribean roast, which was lovely although was missing chicken and plantain. The venue looks fantastic and the staff are lovely, will definitely be going back
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe food was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant , will definitely be going again .
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe place was beautiful food is out of the world and staff are friendly and polite xx deffo be back only thing I'd say is the serving of the food is abit slow if you could just have a server for meats then a help your self service on everything else it would be much quicker x
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveFirstly I’d like to say how beautiful the restraunt is! Stunning vibes are great! The staff are lovely and polite & also helpful , the chefs and serving of the carvery looked stressed but absolutely amazing and they are doing so amazing with it being only two weeks of opening they have really smashed it out the park and it’s amazing for them to pick bromsgrove to be there new venue ! Unfortunately going twice and there being certain things unavailable that was heartbreaking but none the less the food was stunning , I left no crumbs! Food is made with whole heart love , I will be booking at a better time to make sure I get everything but with just opening it’s going to be expected as perhaps they didn’t expect the amount that would be enjoying it so much to be out of stock of certain items , I would love there to be festivals as an option as well as Yorkshire puddings , I really think all round food ,staff, atmosphere, service is 10/10 Thankyou Christopher’s carvery for bringing life to food in bromsgrove again
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveNice pub and atmosphere and nice food, highly recommended
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWe have just been 17.9. 25 and had a lovely meal, not a carvery night. It is new so be patient, but if you need something a little different to Chinese, chip shop and local stake house this is a must for your taste buds. Beers are fine but be careful of the white rum very moreish but very powerful. Enjoy :)
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe positives are that the pub looks great and had a great atmosphere. The curry mutton was delicious also! It’s a shame there wasn’t more of it The carvery station is small and we were called up to then have to wait for the food to be restocked. Staff didn’t really see to know what was going on and it was a bit chaotic. The meat offering was small - I got one chicken thigh and my nephews got one slice of lamb. Everything was just average nothing to write home about really which was a shame as I’ve seen so many good reviews!
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe positives are that it’s done out lovely and it was really clean which I liked. The staff were all supper polite. For me a carvery is your meat is served to you and then you help yourself. We were a party of 4 and each dish we had to keep swopping places for the food to be dished up for us. It was time consuming and annoying. There were plenty of staff hanging around waiting for stuff to do so if you don’t want people to help themselves maybe more staff on the serving station? After we ate and wanted pudding we had to rejoin the massive queue which was for people waiting to get a table so in the end we gave up. The food itself was ok nothing special and surprised no dumplings??!!! Nice enough if you live local and can’t be bothered to cook but we travelled 40 minutes so we wouldn’t go again.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWell i took 5 of my relatives out for my aunts 88th Birthday. Where do i begin everything and every person was polite professional nothing was to much trouble . Christopher came out to ask us how our food was he was so genuine. The food was amazing the atmosphere wonderful all in all a great night and like Arnie said we will be back
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveBanging food top notch, will never beat it! Flavours were unreal and the meats was so nice. I definitely be back there. Got takeout tonight and took it home so I can have it tomorrow for my afternoon meal 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveThe food was delicious, atmosphere was friendly and cosy, staff were so polite and friendly was made to feel really welcome, will be visiting again very soon.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWent opening night, as with any first day there was teething issues but thats to be expected. The carvery was nice, meat beautiful but not much of it, not many choices of veggies and no dumplings, which would have been nicer than a yorkshire pudding! We ordered the mac & cheese but waited so long my nephew had eaten his food so didnt bother with it, so a few timing issues to be ironed out as there was also a wait on the lamb. The place looked lovely and atmosphere was good, friendly staff. Overall will definitely go back.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveVisited on opening evening for the carvery. The place looks great and the atmosphere was spot on. The portion sizes were very good although could have done with more meat which was absolutely delicious, especially the curry mutton! The only negative was that on arrival we had quite a wait as they had run out of mash & roast potatoes which shouldn't really be happening on opening day. Hopefully just teething problems and won' be long before this place becomes a well established Caribbean eatery which is much needed in Bromsgrove.
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWent to the open night The food was really tasty we had carvery. Staff were accommodating There is room for improvement for sure as in portion size how the carvery is set up It was the first night so you expect some issues. Was little disappointed with the bar area not much sitting and mostly high tables and chairs. We got there little earlier and was waiting for others to join us so would have been nice to sit down and wait in little comfort. Restaurant area is very nicely decorated
Christopher’s Caribbean Carvery at The Royal Oak – BromsgroveWent to Christopher’s on its opening day. Atmosphere and music was brilliant and good to see some old locals in the bar area. The place looked great after its recent refurbishment. The food however I felt was a little disappointing. The vegetables looked as if they were frozen and the mashed potato was gloopy. The roasters were nice although a little plain. The rice and plantain was delicious but I am not sure a Yorkshire pudding belongs with Caribbean food. The mac and cheese was very bland. Although the roast chicken and lamb was delicious the portions of the meat were very small. I think they were running out but the shining star of the food though was the mutton curry. Absolutely melted in the mouth. I would go back and have the curry and rice but not sure I would go back for the carvery. The weekday menu is supposed to be different so I will be going back in to try that. I really hope Reece can improve on these few issues and really make a go of the place.
