The staff were excellent and the pub has a nice atmosphere, we had Fish and Chips which sadly was quite greasy, so I probably wouldn't order that again, but overall the service was very good so we will give it another go for sure.

Visited for an evening meal with my son. Liked that there were 2 menus to chose from, English and Indian. We chose a main from each. The food was amazing, really tasty and lots of it. The fahitas came with 2 full size wraps. It was the first night working in the pub for our server. He did a really good job. Checked everything was alright with our food and drinks, and if he didnt know the answer to our questions he went and asked someone. He worked really hard to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. The prices were also resonable. Would definately recommend.

We really enjoyed our carvery here, the portion size was brilliant, very good value for money. They ran out of rice&peas so we had ordinary rice but this was totally made up for with the extra portion of mac and cheese - yum!! Our only small suggestion would be the jerk chicken to be marinated for longer. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were seated straight away, staff were very friendly and overall really enjoyed our experience. With us both being Caribbean we were happy to see this new Caribbean carvery in the UK!

I originally went to the Aston establishment and I really wasn’t to Keem. Then I seen the new establishment and that tbe food looked much more appealing so booked yesterday and I’m extremely happy to say it was 10/10 very very tasty and a wide selection of meats and all you can eat veg I topped up three times. So yea extremely happy and I will be a regular customer. Tbe service and armour was also amazing and the tunes were on point very welcoming and relaxing loved everything about this new facility

Food was lovely. In a lovely atmosphere. Just a real nice vibe about the place from the music to the decor. Genuinely caring staff made our sons night. Can’t rate highly enough.

The food was lovely and hot, plenty of choice and portion sizes were big we were really looked after and enjoyed our time, can't wait to return. Selina is a fantastic host and customer service skills warming :)

Went to the pub for lunch on Friday and whilst there were a few menu items unavailable we enjoyed our choices. I had superb jerk chicken and my friends enjoyed their brown chicken stew and oxtail. We live a fair distance away, otherwise I would go again this week. Well done to the friendly and polite staff.

Once we first arrived the queue at the bar was confusing, no one came to explain we need to wait in the queue to order food and then be seated after. We had to go ask a member of staff at the far end of the bar doing nothing to explain the situation, it was extremely busy with people pushing past to sit down to then try to push in at the bar to be told to go to the back of the queue! We both said the confusion at the bar made us regret going and we thought about leaving but we did stay and we are glad we did the food was totally worth it and delicious, at least when we go back we will understand the process when you enter!

We went for our wedding anniversary after reading good reviews. Before we were seated the menu was explained to us and we were told what wasn’t available. Ordered our food we 1 carvery & brown stew chicken stew was very tasty. Some of the meat on the carvery was a bit dry. The food was not very warm informed them at the time. This certainly would not put us off going again as overall we enjoyed the food, good sized portions & tasty.

I celebrated my birthday at Christopher’s with my family, and the experience genuinely felt like a warm embrace. The food was spot-on — tasty, hot, and served without a long wait. Every plate carried that true Caribbean comfort: rich flavour, proper seasoning, and a homely feel that made the whole meal sing. The atmosphere was just as good. The space felt cosy, welcoming, and warm — the kind of place where you settle in and instantly feel at home. The staff were lovely throughout; the waitresses were friendly, the servers were accommodating, and nothing ever felt like too much to ask. A standout moment was when the owner, Reiss, personally came out to check that everything was perfect. That touch of care set the tone — attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making sure we were content. Overall, it was a beautiful experience from start to finish. I’d happily recommend Christopher’s to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a place that feels like family.

Positive Tasty food, friendly barmaid Negative Food warm 4 out of 9 had their dinner served but the other 5 didn’t get theirs until the first 4 had finished. No communication offered for the delay. Ordered a pudding which took about an hour to arrive. Recommendations Get more bar staff, more waiters, more chefs and a bigger cooker.

Our first visit to the Royal Oak was to celebrate a birthday. We'd heard great reviews about the food. It didn't disappoint. The staff were welcoming as soon as we arrived. We had to wait a few minutes for our table because the previous occupants hadn't vacated yet. The staff explained and kept us updated. There was a knock-on wait to get our meal, which didn't disappoint. The food was hot and delicious. The staff serving the food were accommodating when we asked for a specific part of the chicken and lamb. We also had puddings which came quickly, had plenty of custard and was hot. Overall was a great experience and we will be going back.

Had the pleasure of visiting Christopher's today with my sons. We had a long drive from Birmingham but it was worth it. The food was delicious and our plates were so full. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.

I enjoyed the children's carvery as I didn't want much to eat but the service wasn't good. The system of buying a ticket at the bar and waiting to be called is very outdated, whilst we understand the buffet area is small, we waited almost an hour to be called; in the end I asked for a refund from bar staff and was told we don't have to wait to be called and can just go up. Me and my partner wasn't happy as we were hungry and anticipated this meal all day. The floor had food on it , didn't look like it was swept and the tables were sticky. The food honestly saved it!: the chicken was very juicy and well seasoned and the mutton was tassssty and soft , loved the rice and peas. It's just a shame the wait was so long .

So glad we made the booking! An evening with the lads and Christopher's didn't disappoint. Whilst there was a little wait for dishes, we were told that ordering in quick succession would speed up meal readiness. Regardless, the selection was on point! Oxtail cooked to perfection, and a huge portion on the XL option. We change venues each month, and Christophers received a resounding 'REPEAT!' Great ambience for a Wednesday evening, great food, excellent price point and highly recommended for a get together. We'll be back!

We travelled from Sheffield as we’ve been waiting for the new place to open and get booked in. We enjoyed the food as we had a good amount of food and paid for the extra amount to have the Mac and cheese included. I was happy either the price and the food we had as a mixture of mutton, chicken and lamb which was seasoned nicely. Would recommend as the new place atmosphere was nice and the service of the staff was lovely, they watched over our daughter whisky we went for our food. Thanks
