Was so excited to attend here. However a carvery you usually dont have to wait we waiting 20mins to eat. Which was fine but they advertised lamb and then provided some beef which was tough and rhe rice and peas was hard, also roast potato's was hard too. The mutton was okay but seemed like it was mixed pieces. The mac and cheese wasnt to my taste too much garlic for me but the family ate it. There was only cabbage for veg with frozen carrots. The drinks machine broken so xouldnt have pespsi or lemonade so had to give kids j20. Sadly wont be returning.

We had a lovely time. Food was amazing, staff were so friendly. We had 4 adult carvary meals, they was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all. We will definitely be coming back.

Didn’t expect to queuing when booking in advance. Food was amazing, but a not very hot. We were at the first sitting.

Really enjoyable evening with beautiful food. Only thing we found is the children’s portion was pretty much the same size as the adult portion but the price difference was £6. Our waitress was on her first shift and was very attentive and helpful, looking forward to our next visit.

The staff were so so rude, very unprofessional. The meat was delicious but the rest was pretty average. So disappointed we were really looking forward to trying it. Definitely wouldn’t return.

Me and my partner came all the way down from St Anne’s near Blackpool for a date night and it was worth the drive. Food was amazing l, very tasty and portions sizes were just right. The lads serving us the carvery were very polite and friendly as were the Bar staff. We will be returning.

Awful food! And rude staff! We brought in 32 people yesterday and we was made to feel completely unwelcomed! No wonder why the restaurant was basically empty!! Even though they acted as though we couldn't sit together as a whole because they had other bookings! Which none of said bookings came whilst we was there. The food was vile! More fat and bone than meat. Not even warm. Soggy veg, smash instead of real potatoes. Frozen Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. Mac and cheese had zero flavour! Plantain was hard! I will never or will any of my family visit here again. My reviews will be also on trip advisor and tiktok too.

We had seen the restaurant advertised so we thought we would give it a go. Arrived to a bit of chaos.. a big party trying to be seated. We waited about 10 mins. We got served and seated. Food was not up to standard lamb was grisly.. and you cant serve yourself for the sides so for £15 each its one plate of food that you can't really stack up with the sides The plantain was there too long so dried out like the roast potatoes Only veg was cabbage. So not sure there is enough variety and didnt even know you had to leave after 75mins. So £70 down 3 people with drinks and gone within an hour. Not for us and a shame. Staff were lovely.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant, as we left feeling very disappointed after our visit. We attended as a large family group of 25+ people and were really looking forward to trying the food. Booking the visit was difficult from the start. When we attempted to book for the full group, we were told to call and that we would be sent a link to complete the booking. Despite calling, no link was ever received, so we had to make multiple smaller bookings instead. I also called the day before our visit to explain that we were all attending together and to ask whether we could be seated as close to one another as possible. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke to was dismissive and did not seem interested in helping. Upon arrival, our group was split across different areas of the restaurant. We asked whether it would be possible to be seated together in the back area, as there were several empty tables nearby that remained unused for the duration of our visit. This request was refused. We were also informed that we had a strict time limit of 1 hour and 50 minutes. Service was slow and disorganised. We waited around 20 minutes to be called for the carvery. Part of our group was served, but the rest were sent back to their tables because there was not enough food available to serve everyone. As a result, some of us had finished eating while others were still waiting to be served. When I asked whether I could pay extra to upgrade to an XL carvery, I was told this was not possible. When we eventually received our food, it was very disappointing. Portion sizes were extremely small for the price—especially for an adult carvery. I was served half a chicken breast and around four pieces of mutton, most of which was bone. The potatoes were rock solid, the Yorkshire puddings tasted frozen, and the lamb on my partner’s plate was tough and dry. Overall, the experience was poorly managed and did not meet expectations in terms of service, organisation, or food quality.

Was a great carvery but definitely would rather be able to help myself so we could get more on the plate instead of coming up again

We travelled for an hour and a half for Christopher's "caribbean" carvery. The people after us got served drinks and food before us. The staff were friendly and it's a really nice pub & decor. My issue was that the only "Caribbean" meat was mutton, the lamb was all fat and nothing else, the chicken was nice but plain. The rice & peas needed more flavour. The roast potatoes were hard. The veg had savoy cabbage instead of white cabbage. I'm really confused at the lack of caribbean food and the selection of food. We were disappointed to say the least considering the price of it all.

We enjoyed flavour of food we are veggies so to be catered for is amazing to get so much flavour in chickpeas it was banging really enjoyed tge food, no complaints worth the journey and the wait. Could there have been a few things a little smarter to prevent the wait and confusion and whilst we were waiting a few left and were moaning but we kept an open mind and in reality it was about 10 minute wait which wasn't bad for good wholesome food on a Sunday. The layout decor and staff all friendly the price of food value for money. We will defo travel to check out weekday menu.

Everything was perfect and the food was out this world 11 out of 10 for me all day long

I visited last weekend with my parents and our two dogs, and I can’t recommend the experience enough. It is rare to find a pub that manages to feel like a cosy local while serving world-class, authentic Indian cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredibly warm. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome—including the dogs! It’s such a relief to find a place that is genuinely dog-friendly without compromising on the quality of the dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food: it was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was bursting with fresh spices and traditional flavours. As a group with diverse culinary needs, we were particularly impressed by how well they cater to vegetarians. The veggie options weren't just an afterthought; they were standout dishes in their own right. Whether you’re a curry connoisseur or just after a friendly pint in a welcoming environment, The Navi is a total triumph. We’ll definitely be making this a regular family tradition!

We arrived for the 7pm sitting and it took at least over 20 minutes to take our money before we could be seated at a table we got fed up so went to get drinks from another bar while my sister paid for food and just found our own table! Very friendly lad taking money and girl serving drinks they did explain they were short on staff! Then they explained how we would be called up to get our food table at a time! To then have someone come over to tell people who passed after us to go to get their food we wasn’t happy as now we had been in the pub well over 45 minutes. Don’t think you get a very wide choice of Caribbean food but have to say what we had was very nice and cooked well could be abit spicer. I think you should definitely get seated then have waiting staff to take money save standing being bashed by people coming in the door while waiting to pay. And the food staff looked so fed up that we felt sorry for them. All in all would love to say we would go again but we was all very disappointed and my sister came from Devon to try you as she had seen it all over tick-tock. From other reviews surely you can see some changed would be good. Ps mash was amazing.
