Fantastic cuisine and service - outstanding restaurant

the tilers was my local many years ago it is nice 2 c that it as got a good name again for food and a great karaoke if u want it after u have had your meal

The worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. Just because you are Italian does not mean you can cook Italian Food. The AntiPasta meats were dried and crisp and served on top of 2 baked bean cans. The Risotto looked like a plate of baby's sick. There was no texture to the Risotto it was a congealed mess. Don't waste your money, your better off going to Pizza Express! Its cheaper and at least you know what your getting!!

I've never been so spoiled! Thoroughly deserving of their Michelin star, the staff at The Crown bent over backwards for us. The pork with vanilla was divine!

What a wonderful little find! This country pub was well worth the detour off the main road. My husband and i called in for some lunch and it was fantastic! He had sirloin steak with all the trimmings and I had a homemade steak pie, the choice on the menu was huge! Two meals, a dessert, a couple of drinks and change from £25, a bargain. The staff were friendly and helpful, a rarity in this day and age. We would definitely recommend this place and will be calling again on our next trip to Neath.

i had my wedding reception in the function room here, the layout was lovely, the food was outstanding and service second to none, i would highly recommend anybody with a function to use this service the price was very reasonable and should of cost a lot more considering the quality. thank you very much to all at the cross keys.

I've been to the restaurant several times with my family the welcome is so nice by all the staff not many places you find are like that and the food must be the best in the area because I've been to most of them and me and family always end up in the rock and fountain inn 10 out 10 for service and food thank you

Everytime i have gone to this pub i have really enjoyed my food, the staff are lovely. they have a park so that in the summer you don't have to eat in the pub you can have your food over there and the kids can still play.

Carvery is tremendous value.Good choice of meats and as much veg as you want. Steaks though are small considering the price.Overall a great place to eat and drink....the staff are great.

Over price, long waiting time for food and not worth the wait

What a fabulous place! I cant recommend it enough! Every single time I have been there, with or without friends in tow, the place has been second to none. I can not wait to go back there and especially recommend the tiger prawns in the lemon sauce with boiled potato's and mixed seasonal veg. yuhummmm!! The service is perfect, a great little special place to go to impress that someone who is special to you :) Ill be there for the either mothers day or valentines day deals, or both! :)

Contrary to some a couple of nasty views I ate at Ffynnon Wen 6/02/10. The atmosphere was great, decor excellent,. waitress efficient and really pleasant and the food v. good. You can't please everyone but I was WELL pleased.

This place was amazing the staff were really helpful, and all seemed to enjoy working there. I had a mixed cheese ham & pineapple panini (hope that's the way you spell panini) it was delightful. And a nice cup of cappuccino. Da Iawn Sandwiched in the city!!!

Our half-eaten meals and side-orders were completely cleared from our table whilst one of us was buying a lager at the bar and the other was in the toilet. When we politely queried this, we were told by the waitress that as we had 'almost finished' our meals she has cleared them away. After some time the manageress appeared and offered us £2.00 (i.e. £1.00 each) off our bill. We considered this a derisory offer for the loss of at least half of our food, but no further offer OR apology was forthcoming. We were left sitting there wondering what to do, but nothing else happened so we went to the bar to query the matter. There we were told that we had 'had our food for nothing and that was the end of it'. Oh well... We would have been quite happy to negotiate a settlement for the food we had eaten (around 50%) or to have received a dessert and coffee in place of the missing food, but in the end the staff were so blatantly rude and unhelpful that we decided to go, having first confirmed with the aforesaid manageress that no payment was to be made. My advice? Don't go there! Ian Rogerson
