Just your average quality Brewers Fayre type food. It's the location which makes this place (right on the beach) however the quietness and ambiance is often wrecked by the hoards of screaming children! Great place for families though needless to say, and for a swift pint outside on a summer's evening for the adults!

Food here is usually ok, however sometimes they have a tendency to burn it! It's in a lovely situation literally jutting out into the water of Cardiff Bay, however don't sit outside in the summer unless you want to be eaten alive by the mozzies! Service is usually good, however there is always a feeling of being rushed in and out, as they operate two sittings so it's hard to relax and enjoy your meal when you know you only have limited time. Price is moderate, however they do cheaper lunchtime menus which are good value for money.

Great Chinese restaurant. We went as part of a large party and they catered for us well. Food's always good. Will definitely return!

Gadlys Arms is advertised as a Fish Restaurant, I'd say its more of a traditional pub with a fresh fish board who also have a grill menu with some outstanding steaks - including the Americano a 14oz sirloin topped with chill sauce, bacon and cheese and finished with two friend eggs! The guys in my party couldnt finish their plates which certainly isnt the norm! There is a bar menu available two which had general pub grub on it. All sauces and pates are homemade too. The hostess was friendly and helpful the decor could have done with a little updating but for a pub/restaurant in a small corner of Aberdare it was excellent!!

It's no secret that it is difficult to get a decent steak in Neath and I for one would rather eat at home than at a chain pub/restaurant. I have now been a regular customer at remo's for the past 3 years and can tell you with out a doubt they have the best cuts of beef in the area always cooked to perfection and this is just one of the things this delightful restaurant has to offer. Remo? has a large varied menu including prime cuts of beef lamb pork duck veal chicken & turkey assorted fresh fish salmon cod Dover sole sea bass and hake all at a reasonable price. Romantic lighting, great décor, wooden flooring, large pillars and patriotic paintings & pictures. There is also a hatch where you can see the chef hard at work.

We visit the Dyffryn Arms regularly because the food is excellent and the staff extremely friendly & helpful. It has a nice open fire in the winter and a playground/beer garden for the summer. Decor is up to date but in keeping with the age of the building. It also has excellent facilities for my mother who is in a wheelchair. Would recommend.

This establishment has an excellent friendly atmosphere. Children are welcome. It has a marvelous varied menu. You have good portions, and very good prices. I would recommened the Joiners Arms in Llansaint, to anyone that wants a friendly place with good home cooked food.

Pillars is a tradition of my youth, somewhere we have always gone for lunch on Christmas Eve. At first glance it looks like a grotty basement cafe that time and style forgot. The decor is gruesome, the staff wander round aimlessly calling out order numbers, and the food is priced in pence- e.g. 405p. The atmosphere when collecting your food from the conveyor belt like queue is not unlike school dinners and the service staff slop it on in a similar fashion. BUT, it has an intangible quality. The food is hardly Michelin star, and the staff look half suicidal, but it somehow manages to create a warm and cosy feel. The food is hearty and comforting, and the portions large. If not for strange family tradition, I would never imagine going there, but I wouldn? miss it each year for the world.

You paid for what you got at the end of the day, and what you got was quality, the service was efficient and very professional. Well worth a visit people especially for those special occasions.

Dave and Lesley welcome you to their quaint pub and restaurant....a small restaurant and cosy bar with regular clients make a homely place to enjoy a pint or the delicious cuisine....the chef is a banqueting chef and has in the past cooked meals for parliamentary people....the days of Maggie Thatcher so you know with 30+ years experience he produces the best that you?l sample Dave and Lesley make a great team and a pleasant time....don? just take my word for it....go see......OH...I FORGOT THEN THERE IS THE VIEW....I cant write about this because its indescribable....doesn? have words just fantastic....beautiful...incredible. and others similar....SO FANTASTIC FOOD GREAT SERVICE AND AN INCREDIBLE VIEW....CAN LIFE GET MUCH BETTER?????

Absolutely fantastic 5* food and service. I?e dined there many times. There is a great selection of food, all cooked to perfection, and to suit all tastes.

Just like to thank Tom & Colin for the wonderful Xmas fare lunch we had there last week ,everyone who was there had a great time, see you all next year.

the castle inn is a lovely place to eat with great food and a friendly service. the chef is extremely experienced and has really improved the menu to the highest of standards. if you want a relaxing meal which is good for your money and want a good time, then the castle inn is the pub for you. book now and try out the specials board for new, interesting dishes.
