Lovely enjoyable Italian food, great Staff.

Been loads of times always great food and service. Dont miss out if you have never been.

Nice vibe to the place. Absolutely loved the food. Didn’t have any pie but the burger was fab. The coq au vin also looked good. Great puddings too. Sponge and custard on another level. Service is exceptional. Hopefully back soon.

Lovey food, great Sausage and Mash. Only downside was that the whole place was not warm and could have done with the heating being on.

Fantastic bottomless brunch, i had Sausage Benedict and it was so tasty & filling, service was great and our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Booked meal for the 6 of us for my mum's 50th. All I can say is I can't fault the food it was brilliant we all enjoyed it. They've recently has a re-furb, the place looks lush! Already can't wait to go back

Pretty disappointed really, didn’t have 3 meals that we were going to have and thought the food was average, service was great though.

Excellent Sunday lunch, Between our group we enjoyed a variety of different dishes from the Sunday lunch menu and kids had enjoyed what was on offer for them. Very Tasty food plenty of it and the additional vegetable dishes tasted fab. We were full after our mains but decided to squeeze in a desert. We all thoroughly enjoyed the deserts, great place, Tasty food and good choice of drink, that's not too pricey looking forward to going on a different day to sample some of the other offerings

We visited the old bank at the weekend We had a really nice meal The food was good quality service was great Didn’t think it was too expensive We will be visiting again next time and Carlisle

Great meal last night ,husband thought the cod fish dish was fab apart from he thought the lentils were too salty , my ham with thick chips again great couldn’t eat all the chips would have preferred a salad to go with it or even skinny fries but what we had last night went down a treat keep up the good work and will see you again would like to see what the menus like for the next few months

Train Dude

Don’t know Carlisle at all but we ended up here for lunch in the midst of a jaunt on the Settle-Carlisle railway. Happened across Franco’s and we ended up with a great Italian lunch. I had a lovely lasagne and my mother (who eats out at Italian A LOT) had the ‘best Minestrone soup ever,’ praise indeed. We were there in the daytime but I’m sure in the evening it will be lovely and atmospheric in that old school, traditional Italian way.

A great old building in the centre of Carlisle. The restaurant has a great mixture of old and new. Tip top food and good service!

Lovely traditional cafe in Longtown near Carlisle. All the usual suspects on the menu. Well cooked and friendly service. They have rooms too though I have never stayed.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Skitby House. What an unexpected surprise the place was. Cafe, wedding venue, shop all with a very pretty look. The food was very good.

Simply the best pub restaurant in the area. Fantastic real ales, beautiful food and good craic all in lovely surroundings within the village of Wreay, home of St Mary’s Church
