Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamI went yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. So where do I start. I’m told when I get there the card machine wasn’t working, lucky I went with my parents, they had their bank card for me to get money out. (How hard is it let your customer know before hand) They was no Indian starters, the Chinese food (meats were hard. My daughters went for pasta and this was hard. I went for my mains and their didn’t have anyone to make naan bread, told me they will be here in 10 mins. They never turned up. The desserts were nothing special and the ice cream flavours were all mixed with in each other. You have to bring your own drinks to the table, and they don’t even provide jugs for water on the table Stay clear of this place, the staff do not have a clue about service and the food and experience is no bettter. Will never return. I rather go to Jimmy’s at the O2.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamExcellent. I'm definitely coming back again. Great job. Thanks.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamWent for my daughters birthday got there at 6 when table was booked very rude young girl taken to table and the food was cold and the price has gone up a lot I know everything has but cost us for five adults and a child is 4 £150 and then £12 for drink refill
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamNot impressed when I came here yesterday for my daughter’s birthday the prices are incredibly high especially for children when they have incredible small appetite or do not eat at all ! The food was ok but not the best and when we arrived after booking online I was told we should have said we requested high chairs and room for a pram when I showed my confirmation that I had done exactly that I didn’t even get an apology was a shambles and not organised at all for a booking of 8 people done 2 weeks ago online
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamThe staff were friendly, food was good but the singapore noodles didn't taste the same so that needs improvement. The time limit of 1.30mins didn't go down too well as we then found ourselves rushing to try a bit of everything but we did enjoy the food.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamLoved the food and how they attended to be fast.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamVery happy with the food here, excellent value for money, excellent variety! Atmosphere is brilliant, friendly staff. Over all an excellent experience, we have been at nice quiet times and busy times and can’t knock them really. No issues.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamEnjoy all the time
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamAll great but charging a 9 years old as adult just because is a bit taller is outrageous.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamFood was okay. I went there with my family twice now. The drinks were nice and we were allowed to fill it up as much as we wanted. There is various choices of food from different parts of the world, and they even offer live cooking. However, I did contract food poisining the last time I went there and it made me violently throw up. It was a horrible experience.. The restaurant itself is very lively and over a nice environment to be in. The cuisine is good and varied. I am going again for my birthday, overall it is a nice restaurant and the food is good but its always better to be cautious with what your eating. The first time I went to Spoon the food was good and didnt feel sick.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamFood was great and the atmosphere was nice. It was my mother and husband first time and they thought it was great.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamVisiting for second time. Overall experience is just ok. One thing which I wasn't happy about was once tray is empty, its not been filled for long time. I went to have some lasagne, it was empty, went atleast 3 times again in 20 to 30 minutes ,still it was empty, same happened with ice cream cones, once it finished , staff didn't bother to restock it until restaurant was closed. Show a staff at dessert section trying to put back the leftover cake which was on the plate to its original bowl where the cake was kept, felt bit awkward. Food taste and ambience is just average, Another issue is toilet hygiene is not up to the mark. No toilet rolls, hand wash was not available. Not staisfied this time , less likely to come back . Need lots of improvements, but not sure if they do take reviews seriously.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamWe totally enjoyed ourselves
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamVery disappointed with some of the food not being filled up especially the puddings and we wasn't told the closed at 9 pm so felt rushed for the money
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamI love the food choices, nice staffs and environment.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamA really horrible dining experience. Everywhere felt sticky and dirty. There's a huge choice of dishes, but most of it is bland, chewy, and if you like a gamble, it's like playing Russian roulette on which dish will take you down quickest with food poisoning. The tables are designed to fit as many of you in as possible, so if you want a meal with your group of friends, you'll also be having your meal with the groups either side of you. The only edible thing was a crepe, freshly made, in front of you. But after waiting in line, and being the last one to be served, after being ignored for 2 or 3 minutes, the the female chef looked and me and said 'do you want a pancake '. Yes please. 'Well you should have asked'. Maybe she thought I just enjoyed standing with an empty plate by the crepe counter. So rude. So I spend twenty odd quid on chewing food, spitting it into my napkin and eating 1 crepe, rudely prepared. First visit. Never again.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – ChathamI have never been to spoon world buffet before and was really excited to try. There was a line out the door which led us to believe it would be amazing, we were wrong. As someone who works in front of house (2nd job) I can completely understand how busy and stressful things get at times, however when you are kind and polite to staff and are rude to in response it doesn’t set the best tone. To begin with, I had my blue light card and ID (drivers lisence with the same name on as blue light card and my picture of me!)this wasn’t good enough for the man at the entrance desk as he said I needed a work id - I do not have one of these as I work in a school. Therefore wasn’t allowed my blue light discount. Oh well we said and continued. On our booking we had stated we needed to be sat at the side/booth if possible due to anxiety, this wasn’t even looked at. When following the server we asked and said about this “no, you sit where I put you” and walked off! We still continued and gave the place the benefit of the doubt even though anxiety was definitely heightened by this point by the workers and their poor attitudes. Food was okay at best, nothing I would return for but definitely a worse review due to the overall experience and rudeness off staff- this continued in the bao bun section there was a chef stood behind the kebab area (wasn’t doing anything at this point ) I asked him which bao bun was which “there’s numbers” rolled his eyes and walked off. I could see there were numbers on the bao bun lids however not on the descriptions of the fillings (they all looked the same!) and didn’t fancy trying octopus so wanted to clarify! Ended up not bothering! The best service I got was off the lovely gentleman at the steak station, the chef was kind and smiley although there was clearly a language barrier he held up fingers for the amount of steaks we wanted and gave us a thumbs up and smiled when done. Desserts where good and this is where I actually ate because of the mains being quiet poor. Overall the experience was poor and I wouldn’t return again based off of most of the staffs attitude and rudeness. Food was okay and could have been overlooked other than this however due to staffs atmosphere created I wouldn’t bother.
