Brilliant atmosphere, wonderful ambience and scrummy food - what more could you ask for. We visit every time we come up from London to Nantwich - it puts some London pubs to shame! Well done Black Lion

Black Lion The – NantwichThis bar is terrible, the door staff are so horrible and agressive. My friend got knocked to the ground by the older of the 2 bouncers for no reason at all. his friend said it was an accident, but the man who did it didnt apologise and called my friend a drunk. we had only just arrived at the bar and hadn't drunk anything at all.
Beat Bar – Widneswent to this bar on saturday night. went with a group of friends after a party. When we arrived we bought drinks and then i went in search of the cloak room which used to be at the entrance to this bar on the right hand side to put my coat in.. couldnt find it so went to ask the doorman, i was still holding my drink, when i spoke to him he grabbed my arm and took my drink from me and said i couldnt take it outside, i tried to explain i wasnt going outside and just wanted to put my coat in the cloak room but he then pushed me out of the doors and refused me entry back in for being 'agressive towards him'. After 20 minutes of this and the police arriving i got a cab home on my own. Horrible, nasty bar staff, and a vodka redbull was £6.
Beat Bar – WidnesWent at the weekend for dinner with a few mates and the place was buzzing. We had some really good steaks and great service.....i always had a beer in front of me and the guys wine glasses were never empty. If you want a great night this is the place to go in Chester. On our way out the manager made a point of saying bye even though he was delivering drinks to a table....what a great place. Go whenever you get the chance.
The Grill On Newgate Street – ChesterJust had a lovely meal at the new La Perla restaurant. What a very welcome addition to the Nantwich eateries! Great service, good food and authentic Italian ambience. I'd recommend a visit and have already booked my next meal!
Amici – NantwichYou can't get any better than this, clean, warm, friendly and no loud music.A pub where you can talk and laugh and invite friends of all ages and come away feeling good. The fish and chips are to die for !!
Duke Of York Romiley – MarpleThis establishment sells excellent fish and chips. It has to be the best in the area - if not the North West
Neptune Fish Bar – RuncornGreat place to chill, coffee and cakes YUMMY.Staff so pleasant and welcoming. Dogs allowed outside. Gemma and Holly love visiting too. x
Dingle farm – WarringtonI love the Duke of York Romiley. I am a regular as its a nice friendly atmosphere and we always feel welcome. it is a very clean up to date pub.
Duke Of York Romiley – MarpleThe Old Fire Station is a small bistro seating about 30 people.Situated on the High Street just across from a free public car park.Very efficient and friendly staff.Food is excellent with a wide choice including veggie dishes. Prices are reasonable, about £6-£7 for a main at lunch time and less than £10 in the evenings. Ideal for those days when you just don't want to cook and don't want to spend a fortune. Good honest food.
The Old Fire Station Bistro – MalpasWe are regular users of the Peacock and find the food always good no matter what we choose from the menu.Staff are very efficient and friendly.
The Peacock – WarringtonDidnt enjoy this place, waitress spent most of her time outside smoking, food wasnt great either for the price we paid
Hales of Chester – ChesterHaving no shortage of Indian restaurants , Widnes has several good ones , one in particular has topped our chart with flying colours. This is Vatikka on Widnes road , Widnes , Cheshire .The food is by far the finest I've tasted and the service is faultless. Helpful , friendly and accommodating . This has become a regular place that we dine out at . We would highly recommend it . We have taken several friend there and they have also recommended their friends . Vatikka also does a tapas style starter menu along side their regular menu . Mains are out of this world . English meals are available also . You won't be disappointed .
Vatikka Indian Restaurant – Widneswow wow wow will definitely be back on 27 november 2012
Hickory’s Smokehouse – ChesterExcellent food service an staff, not your normal spirit/punch pub, far better!!!
Hinderton Arms – ParkgateWe've just ordered take out from Vindaloo and it was honestly the worst curry I have ever tasted! The service in the restaurant must be absolutely world class, because that's the only way to explain all the positive reviews.. Either that, or none of these people have ever eaten a decent Indian before. I resent paying a penny for it.
Vindaloo Indian Restaurant Contemporary Cuisine – PrentonA regular customer of this bistro, I've never had anything other than a really good meal. The presentation, the staff, the prices, the welcome and the food all excellent. Whenever I have friends staying I know that I can book this restaurant with confidence and everyone I have taken there has been impressed. The owners work hard and deserve the success. My only regret is that too many people are getting to know it and it gets harder to book in.
Chestergate Bistro – MacclesfieldI visited Dingle Farm for the first time a few days ago. It was a lovely experience the coffee and cakes was first class. The arts and crafts are lovely and competitively priced. I will be going back.
