The food, as always, was top notch for a fair price. We opted for the early bird menu which is exceptionally good value, excellent quality and does not skimp on serving size. Food is freshly cooked and always of a very high standard. Our waiter was lovely, service was good and we had no complaints at all. The restaurant complies with all current Covid regulations and I felt perfectly safe. Cannot fault.

We drove 30 minutes to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, she’s vegan. The setting is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our food. It is a little pricey though but the location is worth it. Some constructive criticism. The service needs work. Everyone was pleasant enough but some basics need addressing. A bit more of a welcome would be nice, a goodbye and check in to see if everything is ok. I didn’t feel like we were ‘seen’. Once sat down take a drinks order ASAP. Bring the drinks ASAP. Take the food order, bring the cutlery ASAP not once the food is served. No one asked if we would like dessert or anything else, potential missed sale? We had to chase for the bill. If you follow these steps your customers will be happy and it will help with the smooth running of service. And make sure you have plenty of tofu in, it has a long sell but date and for a vegan restaurant it’s pretty important! If an item is not available as 2 things were when we visited then tell your guests straight away. The manager was too busy dashing around to engage with customers. I hope you address these things as you have so much potential. Good luck!

Such a unique and lovely place to eat. The setting is second to none, especially being able to sit out on the decking looking straight over the countryside. The food was delicious..and best cakes ever! Great, friendly service. I can’t wait to come back.

To be honest, I was disappointed. We had afternoon tea, but the service was very slow. The carrot and coriander soup was delicious, but I couldn't eat the falafel, because I don't like garlic and the savoury, breadcrumbed balls had spices in which I don't like. The chocolate brownies were smeared on the plate, so the presentation wasn't very appetising and I found them too sweet. The tea and Prosecco were excellent and we were offered as much as we could drink. I have been to Whins Green before and the food was very good, but whilst I appreciate the food is cooked fresh, it took a very long time to be served.

We enjoyed a delicious relaxing breakfast yesterday on the terrace. A large party inside didn’t affect its quality or the attentive friendly service. We’ll certainly return.

Attended with 12 12 years old for an end of season meal and everything was just perfect nothing was too much fir the staff the food was amazing the staff were lovely the atmosphere was lovely and didn’t feel rushed will definitely return

The setting is fantastic , we came here for an afternoon tea for my daughters bday and whilst the food was nice I must say for less money (19.95 each) than I paid on this visit we have eaten a lot better variety (half a pasty and half a hummous wrap for savoury) and amount not only local to whins but also London and York . I’ve eaten here previously and the mains and sides are amazing I feel this tea let you down . The waiting on staff were truly lovely and deserve a special mention as Antonio and the young blonde man served us faultlessly and I would return again because of their service .

Our happy place, we love visiting Verdes and have done since our boys were little nd now they are grown men and bring their families, never changed just got better,

Love coming here the food never disappoints even if the weather does, booked in for afternoon tea mid-August so hopefully we can dine outside.

Always beautiful food and quick service. Loads of selection, value for money and a smile when ordering. Whether enjoying as a family or as a couple or friends its a beautiful settling and food to die for! I always enjoy going and would 100% recommend. Thank you as always Verdes :)

Very nice surroundings, excellent food, well worth a visit.

Altjough we booked through the app it hadn't transferred to the restuarant but ax it happened not an issue with service from entry till leaving being very good, attentive and happy even under the masks. Set up is safe and secure. Food was good rather than exceptional which we were more than happy with. Meals were served in timely manner, hot and well presented

Been coming here for years, never had a bad meal.. the restaurant can sometimes be on the cold side but that's not reason enough not to go.

10/10 from the friendly welcome to the fabulous hand wash in the loo!! Couldn’t find fault. Beautiful surroundings, excellent food and service. Loved it and will definitely be back.
