Visited on Sunday. Service very good, atmosphere very good. One member of our party was gluten free. Item listed as g/f e.g sausages, however not available. G/F bacon sandwich ordered, bread dry. Better alternative would be G/F rolls instead of bread and not value for money at current price of £7.50. Other items ordered very good.

Had the small breakfast, the bacon was paper thin and barely cooked, the mushrooms and tomatoes were watery and tasteless & the scrambled eggs were watery too. The sausage was very tasty and the toast was good. Such a shame as the service is excellent and the staff are lovely too.

We went for breakfast, lovely food, perfect service, very friendly staff. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

All very nice, just be aware that if you order from the lunchtime 1,2 or 3 course menu you may be offered dessert from a different menu which you’ll be paying a different price for. As I was having a good catch up with a friend I didn’t realise until the bill came and it felt churlish to make a fuss as I was treating her.

We recently celebrated our 20 years in business at the Blue Anchor. Our meal was delicious and the services was excellent. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Had the beef sirloin roast on Sunday, a beautiful meal, loads of vegetables, roast potatoes to die for, plenty of gravy and a large Yorkshire pudding. What’s not to lije, highly recommended

Delicious food, fab cocktails and service was spot on, very friendly. Lovely cosy restaurant, we sat by the fireplace which was just lush!

Food was not bad, in saying that not enough choice on the menu, should do more Pub traditional dishes.

We had a lovely meal at The Blue Anchor. My husband and I and two great friends. Our food was very good - we had three courses with drinks for £50 per head. Our waitress was polite and attentive. Many thanks

I love the cafe but the choices don’t always suit what I want for a light lunch. I would enjoy sandwiches, panini, baked potatoes rather than the larger lunches. Thank you the food is good though
