Six friends and I had a lovely breakfast in your cafe. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Excellent, efficient service, lovely food and coffee, and good value for money. One of my favourite places to have breakfast locally.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Hare & Hounds, food was perfect, good portions and staff were friendly and attentive. Couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be going back soon!

The Hare and Hounds – ColchesterI don’t normally bother with these but just had to. Had such a lovely meal on Saturday night. Everything was perfect. Wasn’t busy and I don’t see why. By far the best place in the area!!!!!!! Will be back soon and can’t wait to try the desserts as was too full after our dinner. Totally recommend to everyone! Loved everything about it!

G/F bacon sandwich ordered, bread dry. Better alternative would be G/F rolls instead of bread and not value for money at current price of £7.50. Other items ordered very good.

The sausage was very tasty and the toast was good. Such a shame as the service is excellent and the staff are lovely too.

As I was having a good catch up with a friend I didn’t realise until the bill came and it felt churlish to make a fuss as I was treating her.
