I had booked Afternoon Tea for my mums 80th Birthday. The restaurant was great. It was lovely inside, cosy and warm and decorated all Christmassy. Our table was all set ready for us and the balloon and gifts I had dropped in earlier were there as promised. The young lady that served us was lovely. Really friendly, attentive and cheerful. One if our party couldn't make it and we asked for their Afternoon tea to be boxed up so we could take it away for them which was no problem for the kitchen to do. The food was delicious. A nice selection of sandwiches, sausage roll, scones, loads of cream and jam and a plate with a nice selection of cakes. We couldn't eat it all and our lovely waitress gave us takeaway boxes to pop our cakes in to enjoy later. My mum was thrilled with her treat. It was a lovely experience and a place we will return to again. Thank you very much

Had lunch with 2 family members. despite being very busy service was very good. staff very competent and friendly and food excellent

Had yet another absolutely fabulous night at the Blue Anchor on Thursday! Excellent food and service at a decent price. Staff were friendly, and very attentive without making you feel rushed. Faultless throughout! No auto service charge added either which is great as I much prefer to decide on my own tip. We were there for a live music evening, provided by IrieJ, and he was brilliant as always. Really got the party atmosphere going after dinner. Our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and will be back! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Hello, my friend and I had the most enjoyable lunch. It was as usual a lovely experience.

Food was good only negative comment 2course meal £20 festive menu but you had starter and main meal was not allowed main course and dessert

Another fabulous meal at the Blue Anchor! We had the festive menu; food was delicious as always, service impeccable. There was enough time between our drinks order to our starters, then from the starters to the main courses. We never felt rushed, and enjoyed our afternoon yesterday. TY again!

Very helpful staff. Food good. We weren’t rushed. Service good. Easy to book on line. Excellent. Lovely garden centre. Highly recommend.

Had another great meal at The Blue Anchor, while meeting up with friends! Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I would have given 5 our of 5 for the food, only one of our party enjoys a fillet steak, unfortunately this was not on the menu. The sirloin steak chosen was good though. Looking forward to returning soon.

Have been coming on several occasion and I have to say that this time the food was not as it was previously. Few items were not on offer from the menu we came 12:30. Service was good.

Lovely food and good service

Lovely place to eat but on the day the menu was a bit disappointing with only burger or fish and chips that we would eat. Would like to see perhaps fresh fish dishes or chicken? Also they had staff shortage that day which meant a few things were not available.

Second visit yesterday for breakfast and just as amazing as the first time. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, lovely and warm and great shopping afterwards. This lively place was recommended to us and I’d didn’t disappoint.

Had yet another great meal at The Barn. Food, staff and service as good as always. My only criticism would be that it can sometimes be a little noisy in the restaurant but that is outweighed by all the good things.

We had a lovely, cosy meal with our family. Despite being held up in traffic, our table as held and staff were very friendly and kind. The food as excellent too! Big portions and really tasty! We will be making this our regular Christmas meal destination - thank you!

Was a little disappointed on breakfast recently, long delay in receiving food, had already finished hot drinks before food came.

I was meeting up with a friend who I hadn't seen for over 2 years, so we were long overdue a catch-up. As usual, The Barn didn't disappoint and made us both welcome. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We only wanted coffee and a toasted teacake, which was delicious.
