Wonderful food and service at this small and friendly bistro.

Once again the food was out of this world, every mouthful was devine and very flavoursome. We brought the grandkids this time and to say they loved it was an understatement, they even want to work there if they can get paid with the food! Menu is amazing with something for every taste. Excellent choices for GF Always welcomed with a smile and service is excellent, can’t wait to come back! Best food we’ve ever had!!! Many thanks Valerie x

Loved this. Great place, atmosphere and the food was superb. The fillet steak stroganoff was not what I had expected but it was _so_ much better. Already on our list to must do next time we are anywhere in the area.

We love this place. We ate here first, a few years back and the experience was good enough for us to book our Wedding Day meal for 2 there (yes in our 60s we finally "eloped"). We were not disappointed. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Amazing place. If I wasn't over 200 miles away, I'd be a regular there. Top notch! Thoroughly recommend it.

A lovely restaurant in Grasmere but limited table space. I had steak but was disappointed that it had a lot of fat which is unusual for filet. It appeared that the waitress had not informed the man at the till so no refund was offered. It is more expensive than most places but worth a visit if you visit Grasmere.

Amazing food, lovely and friendly staff, and a great atmosphere! The service was attentive without being overbearing, and everyone made us feel really welcome. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. We’ll certainly be back!

We have stayed in Grasmere many times but this was our first visit to Lewis's Bistro and we will definitely be going again, the food was amazing and the service also amazing, the Bistro itself had a lovely atmosphere and we felt at home as soon as we walked in. We cant wait for our next visit to try something else from the menu. Would 100% recommend.

Our first visit to Grasmere and this dog friendly restaurant. The presentation of food was first class and all three courses were delicious. We would have welcomed a larger portion of vegetables,but that's just us. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend .

A pleasantly busy bistro, with great ambience and a nicely decorated space. Food was excellently cooked and there was a good wine list. Staff could not have been friendlier. Recommended and definitely worth a visit - but you’ll have to book!

The food was amazing and the staff helpful. After a first course did not appear (the main meal was superb). The cheese plate which we shared between 2 from the dessert menu was wonderful. I would recommend this place for anyone staying in Grasmere but you must book as it is very popular. So why oh why is the street appeal so bad - dead plants or weeds in the planters, it would not take much effort to bring these planters in line with other wonderful specimens in the town.

Wow. What superb food, service, attention to detail and simply wonderful meal. A huge thank you to all the team. Never been before, but will be back. Can't recommend enough. Food divine.
