Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis was our third visit to Lewis's Bistro whilst staying in Grasmere and on each occasion we have received a friendly welcome and have enjoyed some delicious food along with excellent service in a pleasant environment. Looking forward to another visit when we return to the Lakes.

My only wee dissapointment was that our trip was for a 60th birthday that day, and we choose Lewis's specifically for this but there was not a mention of it, which was a shame - maybe to note for others booking a special occasion in future.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereEarly sitting for evening meal for 2 people. Very easy booking system, welcomed with a smile and seated immediately. Great selection of courses and all our choices were cooked perfectly. Reasonable price for wine and food. Service was excellent. We have eaten at Lewis’s on 5 occasions and will definitely be visiting again soon.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLewis’s bistro offers a menu that is not overly congested with options but enough to get the taste buds tingling. The venue, the food and the service is overall, very good. Our table had the Beef Stroganoff and the Sea Bass. The dishes were well cooked, tasty with excellent presentation. My only slight concerns were upon leaving, when one of the local employees let her views be known about people from outside of Cumbria buying property in Grasmere. Whilst we acknowledged her frustrations, being labelled as “you’re one of them” felt a little unnecessary. Customer service is about your customers experience and your views should be private. A slightly sour note to what is a great place to dine.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFood was delicious, staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I booked for my wife’s birthday and she was presented with a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival. This was very kind and much appreciated. We also brought our dog and again, the staff were very kind, patient and attentive with her. We had a lovely evening, thank you. Will definitely return.
