Lucy’s On A Plate – AmblesideAfter being continually queue jumped at Chester's cafe at Touchstone interiors, we opted for the fine traditional cafe/restaurant which makes up part of the Lucy's deli in ambleside - fantastic food, warm Lakeland surroundings, and smiles from the waitresses. A glass of vino, some coffee, a light snack and some terrific cake for two - all for eleven quid - not too bad for the lakes - plus cosy and warm on a freezing day!

The food is restaurant standard but served in traditional pub setting. The rooms are great as well as not being extortionately priced like some Lakeland Inn's.
