This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to and i personally think that it deserves an award because of its lovely staff get chefs and outstanding food i think that it is a great family run restaurant and every one should have a visit down to Kendal and eat at Finkles outstanding food

The food is absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. The cafe was busy yet we didn't have to wait long to have our order taken or have our food delivered to the table. The fact that all of the food is organic, fair trade and, wherever possible, locally produced is a credit to the owners. I will definitely be visiting again.

Well what can we say, this place is fantastic, better than any restaurant in miles. It is a favourite with all the family and we have been many times, every meal is out of this world, the service is outstanding and you are made to feel so welcome.

If you are a fan of good service, a great atmosphere and excellent food then Amigos is the place for you! The friendly staff make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble! Everything is cooked to order so although my partner ALWAYS wants something which doesn't come as standard, the staff checked with the chef and quickly came back to us to confirm that nothing was too much trouble. The food was thoughtfully cooked and presented and you had just enough of everything. Despite eating a lot neither of us felt bloated or as though we had had a heavy / fatty meal at the end. The atmosphere on the evening was just right and we both enjoyed discovering the hidden artist in us as we utilised the complementary crayons supplied on every table for the purpose of turning the white paper tablecloth into a work of art! (the best of which were stuck on the walls!) We had a lovely evening here and the staff went out of their way to give me step by step directions and even suggest other places of interest that my partner and I could visit in the area. Can't wait to go back!!!! Thank you !!

Great Lakes Pub with typical pub grub - just be better when all non smoking - best of all kiddy friendly. Great pint of Cumberland Ale.

Most excellent place to dine in non smoking gastro type pub. Great selection and warm welcome This place has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. Superb welcome for our little daughter and great food. Keep it up. Already booked for New Years week break re dinning as lat time our first day of arrival in Keswick it was full so book your table.

What an unexpected pleasure, we found excellent service, casual atmosphere and most of all very good food.

The Food was of good quality and authentic. It was better than most Indian Food I have had on my travels. The Onion Bhaji was just right. The Portions are very generous and the Vegetable Pilau Rice is well worth the money.

Fabulous food. The service was excellent and I would certainly recommend it to anyone. It made our trip to The Lakes special.

We can't really recommend this restaurant to anybody. This is a little gem that we'd like to keep to ourselves! Excellent food, great selection of quality wines and spirits, and a congenial host combine to make this restaurant one of the best in the Furness area.

My experience of Oakwood was enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful. I will return with friends and family.

We spotted the Watermill Inn at Ings nr Kendal at the last minute. What a little gem. Fresh, hot and very tasty pub food at a very reasonable price. The waiters were polite, attentive and helpful. Not to be missed if you like a traditional pub in a lovely setting by the river.

Delightful traditional country pub. Delicious food and lovely staff. Comfortable rooms with great views of the fells. Very much a favourite of ours.

I eat here every chance I can. You can always guarantee excellent food and friendly service. The food is fresh and cooked to a very high standard. Fresh seasonal vegetables are always to a high standard and the home made sweets complete your meal excellently. This is a very popular venue and is quite often fully booked the proprietor always tries her best to accommodate her guests and always makes them feel welcome. Highly recommended

We have been to Beswicks many times before but this time we had our relations from Australia with us and they could just not believe the quality and value for money that Beswicks give. Excellent food as always and paced just right - not rushed, giving plenty of time to appreciate the food and chat. Lovely atmosphere - just like being in your own dining room.
