L’Enclume – CartmelWell worth every penny spent in this restaurant. Class Act!
Gilpin Hotel and Lake House – WindermereWe had lunch on Boxing Day and travelled from Cheshire on reader recommendation. We were not disappointed a lovely located pub offering fresh local food sauces for puddings a bit thin and sparce.Lovely big selection of vegetables and meat, real log fire would have been nice gas flamed not quite the same.Would certainly return and recommend to friends
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalExcellent food and accommodation.
Dalesman Country Inn – Sedberghguest house very clean , best breakfast with a very good fruit choice

Sun Inn – WigtonThis place is one of the best curry houses in Cumbria. It is friendly, the service and food are both good. Try the Chicken Pathia, it's tasty!
Viceroy – Carlislewe had a pub trip to ulverston , last summer, we took up the hotel, my customers want to book again. the breakfast, was the best ever, the fruit out on the table was the best. ideal for all the pubs, we will be back
Gotta love the Black Cock
Black Cock Inn – Broughton-in-FurnessMr husband and I ate at The Kings Arms Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was certainly made a special night. The atmosphere is that of a proper country inn and the staff were all very polite and attentive. We both had a starter and main course which was all delicious. Being vegetarian I sometimes find that pubs don't really care much about their veggie dishes but I was very pleased with the vegetable lasagne I chose. We will definitely eat here next time we are in Keswick. :)
LB’s Pizza House @ The Kings Arms Hotel – KeswickVery good
Finkles – Kendalit was really good
Finkles – KendalA good curry house in modest surroundings. I have eaten here a number of times and have found the food to be great, The chicken Pili Pili is a must try for those who like their curries a bit hotter. The place would be even better if the waiters smiled a bit more, however!
