Good honest food served by friendly staff. We have just moved to Flookburgh and that was our second visit and we will visit more often as it will be our local.

Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsGood food. Visited with our dogs and staff adjusted our assigned table to cope with their size 2×Labs). Although the pub was very busy we were served in reasonable time. Staff were very helpful throughout.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was fantastic but service was terrible from the moment we entered the pub.was told our table was in the corner but not asked if we wanted drinks for a good 10mins.waitress eventually asked us if we wanted a drink and also asked if we were ready to order our food which we did,but she didn’t mention the specials which were out of our vision behind us on the fireplace wall.(my wife would have had one of the options if she had asked)we then ordered ice cream but wasn’t asked if we wanted the sauce as another waitress run off before we got chance to say what we wanted.ice cream was of course delivered without any sauce by a waiter who had to take them back.last time we went it was superb food and service so such a shame that the service has gone down to such a level.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAlways excellent food and service
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFor the last few years stopped off at this restaurant as food was excellent. However on last few visits things have changed they advertised pancetta when it is smoked ham. For salcissa sauce they use pepperoni . On last visit my wife’s lasagna did not have any meat plenty sauce and mozzarella. Obviously will not be back.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe both had specials from the board, and what great choices; lamb and black pudding pie and the wild boar burger. Easily the best grub around the area, and the traditional pub itself and original features make it an all round spectacular experience. The staff were just as friendly as ever.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe come to Carlisle quite often to visit family but this is first time we’ve eaten in Sage and vine . Really enjoyed our meal the food and atmosphere were great . Considering the dishes we chose the price was reasonable .
Sage and Vine – CarlisleWe had two meals at the Bistro last week on consecutive evenings both meals on each occasion were fabulous and well worth the money. It is essential to book as walking in off the street at the last minute will likely leave you disappointed .. Great venue
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAmazing delicious food and great service. We have been to most restaurants in carlisle and this is by far the best for quality of food and service. Highly recommend the macho pizza and the sausage stew but honestly any thing you have you will enjoy.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleExcellent food and service
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithHad a lovely meal and was very well looked after. Food was excellent, service great. Couldn’t fault the place
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery nice meal. Good value and good service.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithExcellent meal as usual. We have been many times in the past, the quality of food and service has always been excellent. Thank you
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFood, service and atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWent for a family meal for a birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Enjoyed from start to finish. Would definitely go back.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleMy husband and I are here on our anniversary recently, the food was delicious I had tempura battered vegetables for a starter which was an experiment for me, they were so good, I am converted! The whole meal and service was excellent and the passionfruit martini cocktails were the best ive ever had!
