Food and service was excellent, will definetely be coming back. Belly pork and crackling amazing. Roast potatoes very tasty, carrots just needed a couple more minutes

We were a party of 5 for my daughters birthday and went to Admiral Nelson for Sunday Lunch. The pub was busy. Food we noticed looked good. Our roast beef was generously portioned and had a good texture and flavour, The potatoes and vegetables were good. The pork belly was also good and well portioned. Desserts we had were ok, bit expensive we thought. We ordered extra cauli/broccoli cheese also good. The extra potion of roast potatoes was a little mean for the money, the pigs in blankets were tiny, both of them, in a yorkshire pud with gravy poor value we thought. Lovely beef, excellent beer and good service on a busy day so all in all a good deal . Not expensive for what we had we all thought it was good. We would go back again if we lived nearer.

Incredible food, lovely friendly service. Great location We had the sharing boards … Sunday roast and the king Carne!! The food, superb quality quantity and presentation. If you want a meal with wow factor this is the place to be. Also great beer choice and perfect Guinness.

It was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. There were four adults in our party for lunch on Saturday and we all had items from the burger menu. They were all delicious, great chips and slaw and very generous portions. We had to halve the desserts as we did not want to miss out but could not have managed a whole portion each. The service was really friendly from all the staff who looked after us and overall it was great value. A stroll along the canal path afterwards was lovely too. We will definitely be back, as the main menu looks fab too. I highly recommend this to anyone. The only slight issue is the small amount of parking. We were very lucky that someone was leaving when we arrived, or we would not have had a space.

Tucked away down a single track road, but an idyllic location right next to the canal for lunch with friends. Staff were welcoming and switching our table to outside not a problem for them. Food was delicious and plentiful. Coouldn't finish the Southern Fried Chicken wraps (2), chips and coleslaw. Just ate the wraps and a few chips, which was enough for me. Highly recommend and would definitely go back if we were in the area.

3 of us came for Sunday lunch for my mums 87th birthday. Very welcoming, shown straight to table. Excellent waitress / staff. Drinks order taken quickly and drinks arrived quick. We all had roast beef dinners which were very hot with good sized portions . However, a bit disappointed with the meat as it was a bit tough/chewy, not as tender as you would like. The Sicilian lemon cheesecake was excellent , highly recommend this.

Wonderful evening with good beer and great food! Probably the best Rump steak I've had in a pub. Reasonable prices; attentive staff; lovely setting, what's not to love.

Great atmosphere & service as always. Unfortunately one of our party had to return their veggie lasagne as it was cold in the centre. Which meant she ate alone as we’d nearly finished when her replacement arrived. Otherwise our food was good.

Fantastic food, service, setting, all great. We had the King Carne sharing board - all of the steaks were great quality and cooked perfectly. Friendly and efficient service. Will be back soon
