The afternoon tea was delicious with so many cakes we had to take some home. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind, so many thanks to one and all.

Great restaurant! Really nice atmosphere. Really impressed with the service. Food was amazing and the kangaroo steak was the nicest piece of meat I’ve had the opportunity to eat. Excellent! Music was also great!

We booked in for an Afternoon Tea to follow our Hall Tour and everything went smoothly. Our table was really nicely decorated, the waitress very friendly and efficient. We opted for the savoury tea and it definitely didn't disappoint.It was very fresh and plentiful and there was even a scone with jam and clotted cream which was a nice surprise.The atmosphere was really good. We have visited the cafe on numerous occasions but this was the first afternoon tea and luckily we've been gifted a voucher for another one which we will be booking in the near future

I booked a table for 4 people..the table all ready for us..the service was very good considering the amount of visitors that day..the food excellent

This is not the first time we've been for Afternoon tea, but it's over a year. the table was nicely decorated and we were seated in a side room. I'd ordered a selection of savoury and traditional which proved to be popular, as we discovered all the little savoury treats. The staff were welcoming and friendly, coming to chat rather than just serve and leave. Excellent value for the money

Excellent food . An original menu using traditional ingredients . The novelty of reading ‘Zebra ‘ on the menu was a conversation piece ! Helpful staff .

I booked an afternoon tea at Renishaw with my daughter, having received a gift voucher to cover the cost. Everything about the experience was very positive, from the beautiful setting of the hall, the lovely table decorations, and the general atmosphere of the room. The food was fresh with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches (we both went for the veggie option). The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend and will consider booking again for a special occasion.

We had a lovely dinner at The Old Gate Inn. We had a very friendly welcome and excellent service from all staff. The menu was perfectly balanced and the food was all delicious and perfect portions. It was a beautiful historic inn with friendly staff and great food. Very dog friendly too. We’d definitely return on our next trip.

Everything about the night was excellent. The food including Calamari and a Chateaubriand was wonderful and very well presented. The drink selection really interesting - I drank my first English Red which was really good. The service friendly and attentive. A great night

We went for dinner while on holiday in Buxton. We ate downstairs in the bar as we had our dog with us, the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Beautiful ingredients, all cooked to perfection. The steak was particularly good. The best meal I've had in a long time. If we're in Buxton again, we will be going back!
