Six of us ate at Azzurro on Dec 8 and I would agree with the glowing reviews of this charming, little Italian ristorante. Lovely atmosphere, attentive and smiling staff, delicious food. Two courses (no pizzas or pasta), two bottles of Valpolicella and a few soft drinks, no desserts but coffees, our bill came to £215 including service. Not cheap but very good value. We'll be going back.

I have made a comment already on this website about the Met, but I visited there again last night and had to put finger to keyboard once more. It was amazing, I went with my parents and my dad and I shared the fish pie!!!! There was enough for 3 people easier but somehow we managed to polish it off between the two of us. Maybe that was because it was so delicious!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everything was perfect. The Met is now officially my favourite place in West Didders!

The superb quality has never dipped in dozens of visits. Brilliant value. Utterly reliable. But don't tell anyone else - we don't want it to be packed out!

Our favourite restaurant! We have enjoyed many many meals there. We love all the seafood especially the seabass, seabream and calamari. The staff is so friendly and the service excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed. A must!

We found this place by chance and have gone back time and time again. The staff are friendly and the food is always excellent. We've eaten at loads of Italian restaurants in Manchester and this is easily the most consistently good. For me it's up there, if not better than, Stock and San Carlo and isn't nearly as pretentious.

Me and my wife came to Azzurro on Thursday night and it was almost full. Luckily we booked and got a lovely table by the brick wall. Seafood specials were amazing, spoiled for choice. I had chargrilled calamari to start and seabass fillet for my main course. Calamari were really tasty and Seabass came with a crab meat & king prawn fish cake, sweet balsamic & chilli sauce and a king prawn ravioli. Food was wonderfull. We really enjoyed our evening. Will be back soon .

My boyfreind and I went to Jem & I last night for dinner. I love the decor and the atmosphere there, however last night it was very quiet but it was a Monday night. I thought the choice was their biggest downfall, in that there was very little on their main dish menu. I ended up having two starters which were delicious and very filling with a side order of fries whilst my other half thoroughly enjoyed his fillet steak. They were short of wine which was explained as we sat down so we ended up with the House Red and that was very good. Overall we did have a lovely meal, but I thought it was quite pricey for a Monday nights tea, especially since I had two starters and we only had one dessert.

we went to the moon last week after reading that it had been voted one of the top 10 curry houses in the country by the guardian. It didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, very tasty and in a different league to much of the standard fare offered up in Rusholme. For 4 of us for 2 courses and a few beers the bill came to £58. Will definitely be returning soon.

The evening was fantastic after visiting the restaurant before our evening we thought it looked dingy and were not looking forward to the food. However we were pleasantly surprised the food was amazing with excellent entertainment. We were dancing on tables and singing songs and generally having a very good time. The whole evening was superb.

I went to The Metropolitan last week for my "tea" and had a gorgeous meal. The service was a tad slow and there was a misunderstanding about the garlic bread but our waitress dealt with it superbly and was very professional. I thought that the price was a bit expensive since it a pub but no more expensive than anywhere else of a similar style! Would be a bargain to make use of the before 7pm offer! Overall very enjoyable and very tasty - will defo go back.

we went too this so called award winning restaurant which was recommended from your site it was the worst three courses that myself & my wife have had. Also i am a chef so when the manager tried to make the excuse that is how it should be i just had to laugh. so please do not recommend this restaurant anymore.

Disappointing - much too noisy for conversation. Tables too close together. Food OK, but I've had better elsewhere. We arrived 10 minutes before our booked time and were asked to wait elsewhere - we were told there was a range of pubs nearby!

Just to let people know that Greens is no longer bring your own. I was quite embarassed to arrive with a bottle of wine only to be told they no longer offered this service. The food however, is always spot on and the service friendly without being overbearing. Not being able to bring your own has affected the price however. This is a great restaurant, however I do feel they should inform customers on the phone whilst booking that you can no longer bring your own wine. It saves the staff and customers embarrassment

I have just moved into Didsbury village and went to this restaurant for the first time last night. I will go back without a doubt!! The food was really really tasty and I thought the whole atmosphere was lovely. It is a little place which is not trying to be something it isn't, which serves excellent food with a smile and didn't break the bank. They do take aways too - perfect.

I'm not sure what the other reviewers on here are drinking, but I have found this place to be very poor and even the Curry Mile can give it a run for its money! If you want good quality Indian food, there are better restaurants up the road!

A great place to eat. On this visit our waiter admitted it was his first shift and did leave something to be desired with the service, although the food was delicious and the house merlot very drinkable. The coffee was the only let down, I'd give that a miss next time!

Excellent food and service. If I had to choose one place on earth to have my last ever meal this would be it!

Excellent place.. am ashamed to say have lived near this restaurant for 5 years and only tried it couple of months ago. What a pity. It was excellent. Could do with more staff tho; one poor waitress was running round after a full floor of people. She did brilliantly though. Am going back!
