Grumpys Diner – SouthendThe staff were very efficient, friendly and attentive. The service was very quick and the food was excellent. Would recommend highly and will be returning.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThe food was delicious but we had to wait an hour for it!!!!!!!
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterHave been eating here for years now, fron Bfast to Lunch and Sunday Dinner, plus coffee and cakes. Cannot fault the quality of the food and service. We took some guests there yesterday for lunch and most of us had the beer battered fish and chips. The batter was beautifully done and very thin and crispy. My only comment is that the fish was extremely greasy. Perhaps it could have been left to drain a bit longer! Apart from that, very tasty
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterNice cakes and good coffee and family friendly.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterYummy breakfast as usual. On being greeted and seated, we were pre-warned there might be a slight delay due to a large party booking but service was excellent. Would definitely recommend ❤️
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThe place was great and the staff lovely , food was great the only thing I would loved to have 50s /60s music playing to make it completed , still would recommend
Grumpys Diner – SouthendVenue, food and service excellent but PLEASE could we have a proper cup of tea - by that, I mean 2 teabags in each pot. The regular tea is weak but the decaff tea is like dishwater and, quite honestly, it's a bit of a rip-off. Also, before lockdown, people could bring their dogs to the cafe but I can find nothing on the web to indicate that this is no longer the case. I visited the cafe on Wednesday 23 June and 3 elderly ladies were turned away because one of them had brought her dog - understandably, they were all distressed because they knew that going elsewhere would be difficult without a booking. If policies are going to change, it would be helpful to make the changes clear on the web - especially the booking site; and telephone bookings need to be similarly informed.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterExcellent food and service. Have been here quite a few times and have never been disappointed.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterAnother delicious lunch and as always the service was outstanding; prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is always very relaxed too,. My favourite cafe in Colchester.

The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterFabulous as always . We had breakfast and the barn breakfast was very good as always .. The ladies are really lovely and nothing is too much trouble .. I am a regular visitor here ..
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterI was late in arriving,, but the staff were very forgiving. It was my first time at this venue, Covid 19 regulations are fully implemented, with good social distancing measures. My Buddha Bowl with Hot Smoked Salmon added was of a high standard, as was all the food, except for my companion’s Bread Pudding, which appeared to be way overdone. I liked the atmosphere in this venue, it was impressive and service is of a truly excellent standard.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterFantastic food... and friendly service well worth a visit.
