Went for a Sunday lunch and one of the best ones had there... if I have one grumble is that I wish more veg then just one bowl between 4 . Rather a bowl between 2 but guess you could end with lots left or just put on plate.. but good lovely Service was also good the girls that served always polite and friendly. Would recommend

We have always had a lovely time at the barn and the food is great from breakfast, to lunch, to coffee and cake. The people there are friendly and helpful. I make sure to book a table tho so not to miss out as it’s always full.

Such a lovely place to meet friends for a good catch up and natter. The food was excellent and arrived promptly. Drinks were good and we even had room for a gorgeous piece of cake each. Really reasonably priced, good service and fantastic atmosphere, we will be back

Lovely welcome on arrival and out table of 5 was ready for 1pm as booked. Great menu choices for Autumn…. Loved the butternut squash salad, amazingly filling! Service great. Slightly noisy atmosphere due to floors and furnishings but we coped! When the quiche is on special would it be possible to have a veggie quiche choice too perhaps? Thankyou, we will come again. This garden centre cafe is a great place for lunch or to meet friends for coffee, cake and a catch-up. Freshly made food is always delicious. The staff here are friendly and helpful too, so, combined with the pleasant surroundings, it is a really enjoyable place to have something gorgeous to eat and drink.

Really enjoyed the roast here. We booked last minute, we were finding it difficult to book anywhere that was still serving a Sunday Roast early evening. The staff were very attentive, we were given the heads up when we arrived that there was only one roast turkey left which we reserved for our daughter before we looked through the menu. The portions were generous, plenty of vegetables that were cooked perfectly, 3 slices of meat and lovely tasty gravy. Hadnt been here before would definately go back. Excellent

Visited Spoons at Basildon to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Food was nice, good amount of choice, no complaints in that respect. Staff have no people skills whatsoever. From the front desk, to being shown to our table, to staff replenishing food, there was minimal interaction. No smiles, barely any eye contact - we didn’t feel welcomed at all. And don’t expect a “thank you” or “goodbye” when you leave either. We dont plan on visiting again. They just want you to pay your money, eat your food and leave.
