The Bakers Arms – IngatestoneTop quality vegan food. I've eaten here maybe 5 or 6 times along the years through eat in or take out and I've noticed constant improvements to sauces and marinades, etc. to get to the position they're at now. Plus as a beerhead it's great they incorporate good craft beers with their food
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendWe had a reservation at 6 o’clock under the name Harris I asked Chris for table 4 he gave me type of four as we do like that table everything was absolutely sensational excellent and Chris knew his bar class for cognac brandy and he served it very very well the food was ecstatic and we’ve booked again for the 18th of October Jane and Mill evening I want to thank the staff for a great evening and will be definitely back sooner than the October one thank you very much Yours Deborah & Tony
The Blue Anchor – ColchesterThe food is lovely and allows for allergies, the atmosphere is light, airy and relaxed no matter where you sit, service is exceptional and it really is great value for money.... daughter and I had a lovely chat... please take cash though!
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterVery good food, well cooked and presented. The waiter was very good, bit of banter and on the ball. Very attentive .
The Blue Anchor – ColchesterLovely food at a reasonable price. Clean and facilities. Service was quick and my friend and I chatted for ages and felt really relaxed.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterOur group breakfast was ok - the scrambled egg was very overcooked and dry unfortunately Breakfast took ages to arrive despite my preorder
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterWe’ve been here multiple times and have always had a good experience! However, on our recent visit we felt really let down with the service. Our food came before our hot drinks, my toast was cold and we had to wait a long time for our plates to be taken. We felt forgotten about. The staff as always were lovely and very polite, food was fantastic (apart from the cold toast), sadly the service let them down this time.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterVery well thought out and creative menu. The food was superb, the seitan brisket was a highlight for me, absolutely delicious. Sadly, we couldn’t stay for dessert but we’ll definitely be back to sample the banana pudding which sounded divine. Service was great, and overall it was excellent value. Can’t recommend this place highly enough
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendLovely food and service, we will definitely be back.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterCame with 3 friends for a catch-up. Food was excellent. We arrived at 12.15 and left at 4, not once did we get asked if we wanted anything else. We had to chase a waiter for coffee after the food - a missed opportunity to sell us more.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterAlways a good experience. The staff are attentive the food is excellent and although quite loud in the main cafè( seems to echo) you can book the inside veranda for a quieter area. I thought the pastries and cakes were very expensive and far too big for one portion. Perhaps have smaller slices at a reasonable price.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterReally enjoyed our lunch for my daughters birthday!
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendMet 2 friends and had a very enjoyable lunch. My friends ordered the Buddha bowl , neither had tried before, they enjoyed and would have again but thought paying £3 extra for chicken and salmon was quite excessive on top of the £14 for the basic bowl. I enjoyed the Baba Ghanoush on Flatbread, super tasty, but the flatbread was tough perhaps toasted ciabatta would work better Service was very quick and we were asked if we were ready to order many times. This continued throughout the meal and became a trifle annoying. Staff were very friendly
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterWe had a very enjoyable meal as always. Thank you!
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterAtmosphere is really nice, although the air con was a bit high as it wasn't a hot day. The staff are always brilliant, very efficient and friendly. The menu is quite limited, I had buddha bowl and added grilled chicken. The chicken had been coated in a hot spice rub and I couldn't eat it, I had to cut all that off in order to eat the meat in the middle! It should have stated this on the menu, also £3 extra for the tiny amount of sliced chicken they'd added was steep. Hubby chose the Lamb shawarma with flatbread, that was very small and the lamb was very dry with a smear of humous on it, he was very disappointed. Mum's fish and chips were really good and the bowls of chips were excellent - best chips you'll find anywhere. So a mixed bag unfortunately! It feels like portions are a bit smaller and therefore more pricey since we went a month ago, which is a shame.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterBrought the family of 11 of us for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely as always with vegetarian and gluten free options available for us. There is always a lively atmosphere here and a warm welcome. The staff are polite friendly and helpful .Its always difficult when choosing somewhere to cater for all ages and tastes but this pub has everything going for it . Thank you to all at the blue anchor for such a pleasurable afternoon .
The Blue Anchor – ColchesterWe come here quite often for breakfast and recently dinner! The staff are always friendly and helpful and we’ve never had a bad meal. Would highly recommend to anyone.
