Booked lunch for 2, seats had been rearranged and we felt like we weren’t really sat in the restaurant as tucked in a corner with no other tables nearby. Loved the new specials, lots of choice and ordered 2 mains and 2 drinks. After being served one main, we waited patiently for the other one, eventually went to the counter to chase - it wasn’t on the order. This means that we ended up eating separately - not ideal. We did receive an apology but I think they should have done more. We followed our mains with 2 slices of cakes, again they didn’t arrive and had to be chased. Food was good, staff friendly but service needs to be improved., they weren’t very busy. We are quite regular customers and unfortunately on most occasions there have been issues, the most notable was being served clotted cream that was off as part of an afternoon tea. Again the apology should have been better. I do like the food but just wish they would improve the service, avoid the issues and when mistakes happen, sort them out and make sure the customers leave happy.
