Thank you to all the team at The Hour Glass. We had a delicious post graduation supper, relaxed, delicious, great service (especially for 10 people) and a wonderful way to celebrate. Highly recommend.

Great pub, a hidden gem. We visit every time we are in Exeter, and it's always been the same great food and service. Cannot praise enough Outstanding!

Had a brilliant supper at the Hour Glass after our daughter graduated. The food was superb - as always - and the service second-to-none. It's so great to know somewhere where you can be confident that you will have an excellent time and meal.

Had a meal on Monday evening, and enjoyed the bustle of the room with fellow diners. We were welcomed, waited on well and had the menu explained as some interesting dishes. Our starters were excellent, as we're our mains- all cooked excellently and presented very well. We love eating at the Hour Glass and our meal was up to their high standards in a relaxing welcoming atmosphere.

The Hourglass is really delivering delightful food these days. The Rissotto was delicious and my duck was soft and beautifully cooked . It is a great place to meet friends, chat with locals and enjoy conversations with a varied mix of people. It really is an Exeter gem!

Excellent lunch at the Hourglass. Food was creative and well cooked, service and drinks both first rate and great value for money (the set lunch menu particularly so).

Another lovely meal at the Hour Glass. We live nearby and this is the place w etake friends for a night out. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is great (I hate the word 'gastropub' but it is at least an indication that we are not talking about 'traditional pub food' here . Two of us had pork schnitzel, one had chicken breast and one the excellent hamburger. The wine is good as is (of course!) the beer. We were warned that the food might be delayed as there was a large party in the basement but, as we chatted, we didn't notice any particular wait. All round, a most enjoyable evening. Thanks to all concerned!

Excellent Sunday lunch for 12 ( birthday) , very attentive staff and the food was consistently lovely across the menu. We will be back again as easily one of the best pubs on Exeter.

I seldom order steak (ribeye) out but it was done perfectly and the truffle fries … hungry just thinking about it!

Our table for 9 on a Saturday night all agreed dinner was excellent. Delicious, interesting food and impeccable service. Empty plates all round! We'll definitely return.
