Our starters were excellent, as we're our mains- all cooked excellently and presented very well. We love eating at the Hour Glass and our meal was up to their high standards in a relaxing welcoming atmosphere.

The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterAnother lovely meal at the Hour Glass. We live nearby and this is the place w etake friends for a night out. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is great (I hate the word 'gastropub' but it is at least an indication that we are not talking about 'traditional pub food' here . Two of us had pork schnitzel, one had chicken breast and one the excellent hamburger. The wine is good as is (of course!) the beer. We were warned that the food might be delayed as there was a large party in the basement but, as we chatted, we didn't notice any particular wait. All round, a most enjoyable evening. Thanks to all concerned!
