We chose Buraq as a local restaurant close to our work place. There was 6 of us and every single one of us was catered for. The food was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Portions are very generous. Staff are very kind and helpful. All in All prefect we shall be back!!

Othellos – BlackpoolFab impromptu meal at the Cartford the other night. Really interesting menu choices and they always have very good blackboard specials too. I had the turbot this time (how often do you see that on a menu round here?) and previously had a delish hare pasta dish. My wife had a beautiful rib-eye from the main menu and it’s a really good wine list too – the Bourgueil was excellent and very well priced. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonOnly recently came across Othelllos, booked on Sunday evening for our wedding anniversary. Had lovely evening, everything went well. Food was excellent, brilliant service, great atmosphere. Will def return. Only slight concern was about booked system. Had booked on-line and received e-mail to confirm but when we got there the booking had not reached the restaurant. They were busy but found us a table, though had there been a few of us they might have had difficulties. The staff said that on-line booking system was unreliable and safer to ring. But if on-line system is available, it should work.

T he roast potatoes in the roast dinner were very hard and we had 2 children - for whom I ordered chicken and chips and was given and charged for 2 adult meals rather than the £6 childrens option which I obviously wanted - the girls are 2 and 7 so not big children. The food was lovely apart from these small issues however my husband had the impression that the staff were waiting for us to leave once our meal was finished?

Friendly welcome from the manager (who remembered us from quite some time ago), really lively feel even though it was quite early in the evening, great pizzas and very good value. Buraq – KirkhamWe complemented the chef, which we rarely do. The food was both delicious and authentic. Our 8 plates arrived in stages as you would expect when tapas are prepared freshly and served when ready.
Salud Tapas – BlackpoolThis was our first visit and a little disappointed. We had booked on line but we were not expected when we arrived. The waitress was very nice but not very experienced as we had to ask for a glass for the bottle of beer. The tapas menu was quite limited. The mushrooms were very tasty and the lemon chicken has a lovely flavour and sauce. The beef dish was mainly potatoes and the only one that was nice and hot, the rest were really only tepid. It didnt help that the dishes came out in dribs and drabs. Overall, the staff were nice and friendly but need to pay attention to the details of service to give us the dining experience and standards that we would expect.
