I went with 6 of my family to the White Tower for my Dad's birthday on 9th April. including my 3 year old daughter. We had the Sunday lunch menu which was had a great choice of food. Though we all went for the roast beef dinner which was amazing! So much better quality than all of the local carveries or pubs in the area and better value for money. My daughter loved her smaller portion of the roast dinner too (which was free!) such a great offer. Such a lovely restaurant with great views - always nice and warm and comfortable. Great service as well.

A high quality kebab house, care about ingredients and service and have been very successful as a result.

Don't really like the big pubco chain restaurants. This one is superior though. A proper steakhouse and if that's not your thing the choice isn't great. Good service, friendly and helpful. Food was good though the salad on my ribs was comically small. It serves its market well but I wouldn't rush back personally.

We both enjoyed our lunch yesterday. good food and friendly service. Nice to sit in the sun too.

Just visited for a quick breakfast and it was amazing! The poached eggs and avocado are a must along with the wellness shots. The lady that served me was excellent and really friendly. Will definitely be returning.

I came here reluctuntly last week with my partner after a couple of visits, but decided we needed to give it another ago. I was very surprised!!! Things had massively improved. The staff were lovely and attentive, the food was amazing and the cocktails were superb. Definitely will be going back very soon.

Dont have the pasta. Congealed mess and over cooked. Waste of money.

This has been a firm family favourite for years! Quality Italian food and old skool!

We were very disappointed with the Upper Crust catering for our Daughters Christening. They arrived late with no apology other than once saying "I'm sorry the traffic was bad". The week before the event we were told the food was arriving cold. They had never said they were arriving hot but we assumed they would be (as they are hotpots) and had not been told any different until then. We asked for some to come hot and they agreed to bring 2 of the hotpots hot but they were 38 degrees when they arrived (should be served at 75/80 per their instruction). As it was so late I had to leave our own party and ask a guest to drive me home to warm 5 of the hotpots up so that we could serve them asap. By the time we had warmed the hotpots up to serving temperature, the guests were no longer hungry and we had to throw most of it away. It was so embarrassing that we couldnt feed our guests and it ruined the day for us. When i rang to complain they apologised and admitted they were at fault but the next day called me a liar and said they hadnt done anything wrong. We paid nearly £300 and were offered a £60 refund. We would never book anything with these people again. We hope that by posting this nobody else's special occasion is ruined for them.

Went to the Greek Flame for my birthday last weekend. We have been here a few times. Stefano was very welcoming , my husband and I had Kleftico which was superb and a very generous sized portion, I told Stefano that the last time I had kleftico was in Cyprus and he said his was better (defineley right there!!) Drinks and wine are reasonably priced. Great ambience with Greek Music in the background. Just like being on holiday(except for the weather)!!!

Love the milkshakes and the cakes are gorgeous. Definitely going back!

What a great time we had. Henry's certainly has the best steaks in town. Service was great and the staff where friendly.

Really enjoyed our pizzas in this relaxed and chilled restaurant. My son said it was the best pizza he has had in ages!

As a regular visitor to the high cross I was very disappointed with my visit this morning 02/05/16. After a wait of 50 minutes for our breakfast to be served to us we found it to be a let down . Black pudding was a small dried up piece that you could not cut , eggs were hard . We had coffee which was nearly cold and had to ask for fresh to be brought out along with plates to put our toast on . I appreciate it was a little busy but surely as it is a Bank Holiday Monday you should have been prepared for this . I will probably think twice about returning again .
