Mere Park Hotel – BlackpoolCame in last Friday. The service the food Excellent as always!!!!!
Ordered in person and paid £10.40 for a take away to be delivered to the Victoris Hotel at 11:15pm. Order placed an hour earlier.Tak Ming refused to honour their agreement. When I phoned to enquire where my order was, they said they would not deliver, as agreed. They also refused to compensate me my £10.40.This is thee worst take away on the Fylde. Take my advice, avoid the shit hole like the plague.
Tak Ming Canton Kitchen – St. Annes-On-SeaArrogant cocky and very rude. Will not be using these every again. Need to learn on their customer service skills. Order came over a hr for 3x medium kebabs. When they arrived they were S*** and cold. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Carlitos – Knott End-On-SeaSORRY TO SAY THIS BUT WE HAVE BEEN USING THE GARSTANG RESTAURANT SINCE IT FIRST OPENED. ON SUNDAY 23 AUGUST THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE NO TASTE TO THE FISH THE CHIPS LOOKED AND TASTED LIKE THEY HAD BEEN RE-FRIED. WHEN I COMPLAINED WE WERE GIVEN ANOTHER PLATE OF SO CALLED FRESH CHIPS THESE WERE EQUALLY AS BAD. WHEN I WAS THEN TOLD BY THE LADY SERVING THAT THE FAT NEEDED CHANGING BUT I WAS STILL CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT £17-50, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE WITH THE QUALITY AND THE ATITUDE. ALSO PORTION SIZES HAVE SHRUNK DRAMATICALLY. R HOLLMAN
Thorpeys – GarstangRestaurant is called 'cosy', for cosy read cramped. If you get a table near the door be prepared to have takeaway collectors bumping into you, and on cold nights being frozen from the draught from the constantly opening door. Don't order anything other than a single meal, you will have to eat with your elbows tightly into your sides. The food is not cheap and does not warrant Abul's descriptions. I could say lots more but will leave it there.
Mohshinas Indian Restaurant – LythamLovely lunch with my mother. Very nice tapas at Ribby Hall!
The Tapas Bar at Ribby Hall – KirkhamBeen here twice in the last week and I’m wondering why I don’t go more often. I really like the atmosphere inside and out (when weather permits), the menu is really quite interesting for a pub (try the smoked haddock dish) and they always have a good selection of ales if that is your thing.
Queens Hotel – LythamWas told they were delicious by a friend and she was right, well worth the trip from Lancaster! We don't often have fish and chips but will definitely go again.
Kays Knott End Chippy – Knott End-On-SeaLovey food just shame they don't answer the phone to take your order.
Ahmet Turkish Kebab House – LythamA little annoyed. Wasn't to bothered about Pizza Express for dinner, only went as the wife had a 30% discount card. When I paid the bill I handed the lady my debit card and discount card at the same time. She didn't add the discount I realised when I got home. When I called to explain the manager said you can use it next time. I don't want a next time just the discount applied now as it should be.
Pizza Express – LythamAlways my destination of choice when back in Lytham. Good coffee, very tasty food, great view out of the windows. My cheese and ham toastie and sweet potato chips were bob on!
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamWent to this new Mexican restaurant Cincos in Poulton with fairly limited expectations as I am not a huge fan of Mexican food. But I have to say it’s a great venue. Was very busy, great salsa soundtrack throughout the meal and a real buzz about it. Apparently it is difficult to get a table and I can see why.
Cincos – Poulton-Le-Fyldethankyou Martin and everyone - my birthday lunch - Excellent food, service - in fact everything., just as usual. Long may you continue! See you soon!
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamWe have been to Yum Sing in Cleveleys on a number of occasions for a takeaway and to eat in the restaurant. This evening was an absolute shock, when we ordered the man on the other end of the phone was very abrupt and rude, I tried to explain as we are on a new estate the post code wont be picked up on Sat Nav but I got ignored and was told delivery would be under 1 hour and this was at 6:30pm. I rang back at 7:40pm expressing my concerns as not only have we been waiting for over an hour I knew the driver would probably not be able to find us. I was re-assured the driver is on his way and knows where we are, bearing in mind we are only 5 minutes drive away from Yum Sing I then had to call again at 8pm to be told again dont worry hes on his way. I explained I would not be willing to pay full price for the takeaway but of course happy to pay a of the bill. I was then passed to the owner who could not care less and tried to pass it off, he then said on my next order it will be complimentary I was not happy with that as it was this meal that was delayed and to boot we were ignored when trying to advise where we lived. He then turned and got very angry and said fine have in complementary tonight but dont be ording from their restaurant again and then put the phone down! The customer service skills are zero, that comment on its own is shocking and very rude. Being a Tuesday night I cant imagine the serivce customers receive on a weekend. Be warned the customer service from staff and the owner is the worst I have come across. Stay away!!!
Yum Sing – Thornton-CleveleysWe stopped off here on Saturday at 5.30pm for tea after an afternoon's shopping in the UK's Premier Seaside Resort. Situated next to the Winter Gardens (handy for pre and post show meals ), we were the first ones in and were greeted very well, seated quickly and provided with complimentary bread sticks and dips whilst making our menu choices. This was the first time we had been to this relatively new venue in Blackpool and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely decor and ambience. There was a specials sheet and the restaurant soon filled up. We had a tomato garlic bread to start, 2 pasta dishes as main course, a beer and a large wine and 2 coffees ... approx. £38.00 from memory. Great value and we look forward to returning in the future.
Amaro – BlackpoolMy favourite Chinese restaurant Would be difficult to beat Excellent good and service and the prices are affordable I travel an hour to this place and it's worth it.
