Gemma Indian Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaThe food is normally very nice in The Highcross but I was disappointed with the service there last night (Oct 19 2011). I visited with my family and arrived at 8.30pm, we ordered two of the Plantation Platters and a Triple Chicken and then went to the salad bar. About ten minutes later, the waitress came over and told us there was no spit roast chicken left. This was disappointing enough as this is the main draw of the restaurant. To make matters worse she told us they could not replace the chicken with anything else as stocks were low. I asked if she was seriously telling us that we could have the meal, but with a key ingredient missing, for exactly the same price and was told yes! The waitress was apologetic enough but I can't believe the kitchen seem to keep no idea of their stock. We were offered no extra drinks of desserts and so we just left. I won't be returning in a hurry.
High Cross – Poulton-Le-FyldeI have eaten several times at Luna Rossa, and all I can say is the food is fantastic and served with the right break between each course. It is true Italian cuisine and freshly made, not frozen like so many other Italian restaurants use in their cuisine. The staff are very friendly and very professional. The restaurant has the right ambience and a lovely decor which is cosmopolitan and very relaxing. I will certainly recommend Luna Rossa to everybody. Guaranteed a fab night with awesome food. Enjoy!!
Luna Rossa – BlackpoolCongratulations on your new venture. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly. Pat.(your fridaydiner).
Taste – Thornton-Cleveleys...I'm beginning to come across as having an infatuation with this place... I stopped here for a bite to eat with my girlfriend on Saturday and as neither of us was particularly hungry we opted for the Autumn Menu with it's excellent offers. We both had the roast beef and mushroom baguetts, served with roast potatoes and real, meat juice beef gravy.... delicious and warming fayre before we set off for our day long bike ride of the fylde coast. Service was as always tip-top and with a genuine smile. We both had a big wedge of the delightfully devilish Alabama Fudge Cake with fresh cream to finish, and we left full, glad of the bike ride to quash the post pig-out guilt... hatsoff once again to the team at the Venue ;~)
The Venue – Thornton-CleveleysThe Queens has had a refurb. Was excited to see it. Looks a lot better with its quirky feel. I love the distressed furniture, chalkboards and especially the ducks heads on the wall. I only wish it would go down that quirky route even more in the style of tenanted pubs in London. Didn't eat but enjoyed a well poured pint of Guinness with my dog!
Queens Hotel – LythamVisited on Saturday 15th October 2011. Our table was booked for 9pm & we arrived 5 mins early - we were still sat in reception area at 9.30! They came & took our order & finally showed us to our table at 9.45. We thought as we had ordered already the waiting would be over. We got our starters at just after 10pm! We then waited again for the main courses & kept being told they were on the way. By 10.35 pm we were still waiting. The food finally arrived & there was a dish missing! The waitress hadn't written it down!! The food was lovely, but the waiting ruined the evening. We will definitely not be going again & will not recommend to others! Other people have now told me of similar experiences. Such a shame as the food is really good!
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe have been twice now and taken the elderly clients we work with,we all said they are the best fish and chips we had ever had!!!1,I'm coming next Saturday with the family its my mums birthday and my dad said take us to this Taylor's you keep on about,,,Nikki
Taylors Fish And Chips – BlackpoolWe had a meal there on Friday, what a beautiful restaurant, good value for money and good service. The food was tasteless, I and two of my party agreed.I last went two years ago with the same problem,I thought it would have improved by now.
Chus – LythamAfter booking weeks for 16 people for a Saturday night, we arrived at the restaurant to find it full and that our party could not be accommodated. No reasonable explanation given from the staff, however it would seem they'd been greedy and given our table to people that had come in off the street. Very poor management, we will not be recommending this restaurant to others. Luckily we were able to get into another restaurant in Poulton to celebrate our friends birthday.
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-Fyldeexcellent food, excellent friendly service. My Husband and i often walk down for a meal as we live close by and sometimes take our baby girl . The staff are so friendly and helpful. I remember once, when we had really bad ice and snow, the waiter came down and delivered the food on foot as i was 7 months pregnant and didn't want to slip on the ice. Highly recommended!
The Raj – FreckletonI took my wife into the Mews for a nice romantic meal and we were very disappointed , the service we received was in no other word but ignorant, and obnoxious. The food was JUST about average, the only smile we received during the whole night was when we paid, we will never be setting foot inside this back street restaurant again !!!
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeBrilliant restaurant food, service and atmosphere all to a high standard, will definitely be going back..
Great Fortune House – Thornton-Cleveleysmany a weekend morning I've phoned through to order the Dolphin's large breakfast.... belly bursting good and friendly service from the staff when I go in to pick up the order for take out - basic but well cooked cafe grub and very fairly priced - the only niggle is the bacon.... splash out a little guys and get higher quality stuff cos it makes a good brekkie
The Dolphin Cafe – Fleetwoodit was the best restaurant ever xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Palms Restaurant at the Blackpool Hotel – BlackpoolFirst time here and was suitably impressed. It was buzzing on a Saturday night with the boss much in evidence making sure everyone got served promptly, despite the crowd. Recommended.
Bosco – LythamWhen eating on a budget, Thornton lodge takes the crown on the Fylde coast.... the food is excellently prepared, the staff friendly and efficient and I have yet to be disappointed. Always a treat and for the kind of money it would cost to eat at one of those awful american chain burger places (you know the one, haha), you will leave much more satisfied and having had a good time. The huge burger I had last time defeated me at the last hurdle...... drive past the River Wyre Hotel and eat here instead........ nuff said ;~)
Thornton Lodge – Thornton-Cleveleyshaving eaten here twice while taking advantage of a two-for-one offer in the local rag, I have to say what a cracking carvery they put on....... juicy and well cooked choice of roast meats and free top-ups of the veg including their excellent roasties.... my gf and I ate here a few weeks ago and left stuffed to bursting having spent under £15 and that included a couple of drinks each.... amazing and the price does not reflect the high quality grub.... good work folks.
