Yorkshire Fisheries – BlackpoolHad a great meal here last night for my friends engagement. I started with the mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham with a fresh pesto sauce, followed by the pig. Both courses were well executed. Especially the crispy crackling. Service was excellent and efficient. Big recommendation.
Pulcinella – Thornton-CleveleysI went in for a little light lunch with my wife Maureen, it was polite and pleasant service, the Manager or Assistant Manager was walking round checking if everybody was happy and had everything they needed with their meals, it is very rare to see this kind of service nowadays as a lot of places want you in and out of their premises as quick as possible, we were made to feel comfortable and welcome we would be happy to visit you again. Thanks from Jim & Maureen from Bispham
Dickens Inn – Thornton-CleveleysSecond visit just as good as the first.Food AWESOME.And we found a pile of BILL THE AIRPORT DRIVER business cards maybe we should ring his house and tell his good lady how naughty and rude he is lol.No he is a diamond a lovely guy who told us about the Pulcinella we will back at the restaurant after our holidays oh who is taking us...BILL THE AIRPORT DRIVER.Pulcinella is the BEST BAR NONE
Pulcinella – Thornton-CleveleysFirst time dining Greek and WOW, what an experience! Food I can honestly say was simply amazing, infact would go as far as to say, best meal I've had in years. The chilled atmosphere, attention to detail, friendly staff and of course the fab food has made Olive Tree our number 1. Our party noticed quite a lot of customers having to be turned away, that in itself says it all. Well done Stefano, you are an extremely passionate and gifted Chef ! See you again soon.
Olive Tree Brasserie – St. Annes-On-SeaI Visited this cafe in march 2008 . I didn't like anything about the service, the waitresses were both over 50 yr old and very slow at service and the food wasn't home cooked at all with the taste of it, the braised steak was warm and full of onions and the apple pie and ice cream for afters could of fed an army . I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Grannys Coffee Shop – Thornton-Cleveleyswent there in good hope after a few recommendations but was very disappointed with the service it took 15 minutes to give my order and did not even receive an apology. The food was cold and very average. I get better tasting food at my local cafe. i would definitely not go again and would not recommend it
Beach Terrace – St. Annes-On-SeaAgree with the previous writer. Nice place for lunch but haven't tried their other times. It's a bit cramped and rustic but they are slowly improving it, including an outside area at the back. The food is all made to order from fresh and it's very tasty with a decent sized portion. They seem to do well in take-away breakfasts as well. They told us they work long hours starting at 4am to bake the bread, roast the beef etc.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeI took my husband for a meal at the Blossoms, Lytham, on Sunday, and having used this Pub for many meals over many years, was very disappointed . On entering, there were many tables full of dirty dishes and when I went to the bar, that also was full of dirty glasses at one end, and they were still there when I ordered desert. My husband ordered a Flapjack desert which he could not finish and looked a soggy mess, I took a photo if you would like to see it. Many plates that were left on tables, also had quite a lot of food on them. I feel I need to write as this is the second time we have been disappointed at the quality of this pub. I do appreciate that it was sunday and a busy time, but we do not usually have to wait this long and see so many tables with dirty dishes, at other places locally, that we frequent. I would appreciate your comments.
Blossoms Ember Inns, The – Lythamexcellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. will definitely return in the future
China Red – Poulton-Le-Fyldei took my daughter to this cafe for a bite to eat and decided to sit on the balcony facing the sea. i enjoyed their traditional fish 'n' chips meal whilst my daughter had a jacket potato with tuna filling. Absolutely delicious! We sat there chatting till sunset, which from this view is a definite must see experience... Food: 8/10 Value: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10
Water’s Edge Cafe – St. Annes-On-SeaFantastic food, great value with generous portions, topped by breath-taking scenery! The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed an afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere. Best latte Ive had in ages... Keep up the good work guys!!!!!
Water’s Edge Cafe – St. Annes-On-Sea'We have just dined like a Queen and King today at the Punchbowl Inn. The quality of the food, huge portions, service and cost were fabulous. I have never seen a meal so large, it took two of us to eat the winter warmer starter and share a chilli burger.......and all very well presented. Don't go hungry before you go to the Punchbowl....go starving its worth it!!
Punchbowl Country Pub and Restaurant – GarstangWent into the Outside Inn on a Friday night...was surprised at how busy it was considering other pubs round here are pretty quiet at the moment! Was informed a table would be free in 5 minutes, so we were invited to wait in the bar and get a drink. Eventually got a table in the restaurant 45 minutes later. Why do they have to lie to us? they must of known it would be more than 5 mins! Then took a while to take the order and for the food to arrive....appears the kitchen was not pinging the food quick enough, rather than the waitress that was causing the delays. When the food arrived it was tasty and very good value for money! Would think twice about coming again though as we found the time waiting around unacceptable for a venue like this. PS Vegetarian Dishes are quite limited. . .if you are a veggie then make sure you like cheese!!
Plum Tree Farm – BlackpoolI went into the steak house for a meal , the service at the bar was prompt and the food was hot and tasty,i was surprised considering the old reputation of the place, being local myself i have to take my hat off to the management there they really seem to be trying hard to turn the place around, it was a nice place to go with my friend for a spot of lunch, nice music as well ten out of ten thanks for a nice day we will be back.
Dickens Inn – Thornton-CleveleysSIMPLY THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT ON THE FYLDE COAST!!! Thank you to all the staff and The Man's for so many wonderful dining experiences :)
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeThis place is amazing for live bands, usually playing on a Thursday (your best night in here to catch all the action) they have a varied range of bands that I am always willing to come and watch. If your a local band hoping to get signed then this is the place, I have heard there are always people scouting for new talent and many of my friends bands have been found due to this fantastic place.
Blue Room – BlackpoolMyself and my family recently went to Jacks Bistro for celebratory meal. The food was cooked to perfection, and it tasted devine. The combination of food flavours worked great, portion sizes were just right, and you get service with a smile. The staff are both thoughtful and helpful, and provide a cheery atmosphere to the place. If you want something different and totally delicious to eat - Jacks is the place to go. I can thoroughly recommend it. Esther Parkinson St Annes
