Absolutely amazing food and service.

A lovely (not inexpensive) lunch, great food and modern, warm atmosphere but..,......what a crying shame that the staff had no clue how to properly manage a justified complaint / feedback. We found a piece of metal scourer in our patatas bravas. Not great but these things happen and was undisputed. We are pretty chilled about such things but also great believers that if a problem is handled well, you can create a lot of goodwill and make customers feel well looked after if the situation is properly acknowledged. There was an offer of replacement but that was completely unnecessary and somewhat missed the point. If it were down to me I would have taken it off the bill, perhaps a drink on the house - all good......but no. Instead send the poor junior staff member to face the music, don't come and discuss with us, take £1.50 off the bill (seriously????) and once we had paid the bill, insult us by telling us we just didn't get it!!! We wouldn't have written a review like this if the situation had been handled properly but that is the current state of customer service sadly. No one gives a monkeys.

Booked in for a birthday lunch and we were not disappointed. Had a great window seat to people watch & were made to feel very welcome. We had the monkey club stack & it was the best club sandwich we have had ! It was freshly cooked and crammed with chicken and bacon. Will definitely be back and highly recommend !

Great pizzas, loads of choice and very reasonably priced too!

Maybe not quite as good as usual. Pizza slightly soggy in middle which I have never had before also toppings were a little sparse

We booked our annual meal at The Royal Oak, something we’ve done for the last three years. It was easy to organise the booking. On the night the room was warm and welcoming as were the staff who served our meal. The meal was lovely, the shoulder of lamb was tender and delicious, the peppercorn sauce on the chicken was tasty and the salmon was moist, the plates were hot and all the food arrived at the same time. Everyone was very happy with their meal, the portions were generous and several of us were unable to finish the sticky toffee pudding deserts which was a shame! Thank you to all the staff involved who made our meal so enjoyable.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea, me and my son throughly enjoyed it. Simon looked after us ensuring we always had drinks and kept asking if everything was ok. The food was excellent especially the variety of delicious desserts. Absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend. Thanks again we will be back. Jane

Staff were very attentive and lovely. Food was nice. Great customer service when sorting out an issue with the January discount and promptly resolving it. They went above and beyond. Will return :)

Lovely afternoon tea for a very dear friend who was 90 with her granddaughter. I was really impressed how modern the brassiere coast is nicely furnished and decorated . I am going to go again for Sunday lunch with my family

A fabulous pre Theatre dinner with fabulous service from Lily. Very attentive and a superbly priced 2 courses for £14.90. Perfect and the food was great.

Great local with good food. Menu is quite entensive with plenty of choice. Service is efficient and very friendly. Always look forward to a visit here!

Visited for a meal recently. We have been to Buraq on many occasions, and as usual, the staff were friendly and courteous, and we were quickly seated and made to feel welcome. After serving drinks, we were provided with poppadoms and dips while we waited for the starters. The atmosphere in the restaurant was convivial, the food was uniformly excellent, plentiful, and great value for money. We would like to thank the staff and hope they continue to provide the same great value and service for many more visits.

We had fabulous service by Jordan he was busy with his lunchtime tables nut he kept checking in to see if we were OK.

A lovely gem of a restaurant. Dog friendly too! Went to celebrate my 60 th birthday! A lovely intimate place with amazing staff and delicious food . Everything was perfect but it was quite cold so in winter wrap up! Just loved the evening though and would definitely return in warmer weather.

The warm welcome, great food and the choice of drinks are all a regular treat at the Kingfisher. All the staff work so hard at looking after us every time we visit. Thank you
