This was the second time I've taken my two fussy foodie friends to Caffe E Vino and being the hard-to-please people they are, I was nervous both times. I needn't have worried. The three courses were extremely good and no doubt I'll be back with more friends soon.

The Roast Beef Sunday lunch was really good. Our only disappointment was lack of choice for the vegetarian option. Would have preferred a nut roast or similar. Service was friendly and attentive.

Best Sunday lunch in the area with the quirk of carving your own meat of which there is plenty. Very attentive service, can't be faulted. However, lunch can turn into a bit of a zoo as a minority of clientelle have no idea how to conduct themselves in a pub/ restaurant, shouting across tables, standing up chatting with no consideration of other diners. Unfortunately this happens quite often and can be off-putting. We took friends who couldn't get over the loud intimidating atmosphere and they won't return. Such a shame. The best Sunday lunch I think I've ever had! I'm not a big Sunday roast fan, but I think The Miners has converted me. I've visited the Miners twice for Sunday lunch and loved it both times. The service is attentive and swift, and the food is delicious. I've opted for the Sunday roast options on both occasions, and I'm amazed at the variety on the menu, so if you don't fancy a roast, there is plenty of choice. The roast meat comes out on a platter for you to carve yourself, with plentiful side dishes including Yorkshire puds, braised red cabbage, greens, roast and boiled potatoes, and of course, some gravy. The portions are very generous! The kitchen kindly wrapped up the leftovers in foil and I took them home with me.

Went for a meal here on a very busy Saturday evening and thought the food and service might be compromised but both were excellent.

Food is always good no matter what time of day. Coffee is the best around. Extra special as our dog Kasha loves going and is always made welcome. We travel 30 miles round trip and worth it.

Excellent evening for our large group. Davide communicated with us in advance and arranged extra tables and space and, somehow, 18 people’s meals came out swiftly. The food was excellent too! Many, many thanks and we will gladly come back again.
