Went for our 30th anniversary meal and the food was superb. I had the duck which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the venison pie which was equally fabulous. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. We had a lovely time and would thoroughly recommend it.

The staff are a credit to the business and we're very pleasant, friendly and atentitive. We would highly recommend this resteraunt and will be booking the Hotel in the near future.

The way they present the food where you cut the meat yourself is novel and makes the meat stay tender and unctious. All the staff are young, friendly and enthusiastic and no one is hassling you to finish and get out, it's all very relaxed in a simple informal environment. Honestly, what's not to like! Superb!

Although somewhat disappointed as we booked meal as a birthday celebration and to have steak (Saturdays are steak nights), to be told at 7.15pm they had sold out of all steaks. So we chose off menu, as mentioned the food we had was lovely. However, when we asked for something extra, like an additional portion of curry sauce with our fish and chips we were told no. When we tried to order a drink at the bar we were told no, it’s table service. Food, 5 out of 5. Service 0 out of 5. We’re left to feel the customer is always wrong.
