My hubby and I had a lovely dinner here. Hubby had rump steak that he said was delicoous, although the mushrooms were a bit withered. I had home made steak and Robinsons Ale pie wguch had big chunks of sreak that was cooked perfectly and lots of gravy. The chef even swapped veg for mushy peas for me. There was too much to eat so they kindly plated it and covered with foil for us to take away. We ate leftovers today. Yum! The beer garden at the rear of the pub is a fantastic sun trap. The sports channel was on TV which could have been at a lower volume, but thats a personal view. A great pub and the guys running it are great. We will return.

Absolutely perfect in every way

Nice table, very good service, we had the vegetarian roast, which was delicious. Great to see that the same effort and care was put into our meal as the traditional Sunday roast meat. Only one dessert option, which wasn't to our choice, perhaps as well - we had eaten every morsel of our main course and were very satisfied!!!

Great food lovely and hot and not a long wait

Booked on line. When we arrived the table we were offered was too close to the fire, however was offered an alternative table that was fine. Value for money the food was really good, hot and not too long to wait for our food. When we were in the butchers in Grange they told us that they supplied the meat to the pub, which was really good to know that they were sourcing local produce. The beer, although not a large selection was kept and served well and at a good price. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

31.3.24. The pub has had a lovely makeover and this was their first Sunday after the kitchen update. The service was great and the food was really very good, hot, tasty and cooked just right. Will definitely be returning.

Fantastic Sunday lunch ! Beautifully done beef ( and plenty of it!) , Yorkshire pudding that melted in the mouth, great selection of roasts and vegetables. Oh, and the best gravy! We failed to eat everything but it was a real treat. Can’t wait to book again.
