New Years Eve meal for 6 people. Surprised to find we were the only customers and it remained that way for the rest of the night! A cosy restaurant that will filled with our own atmosphere but a shame another table was a no show!!! Food was very good for all. The service was very good also - friendly, efficient and with a sense of humour. The meal was a bit expensive even though this was a regular menu and not an overpriced NYE price!!

A small cosy venue with a beautiful tasty meal to start the Christmas celebrations in Grasmere! Staff very welcoming and attentive! Definitely worth a visit, and we will be back!

Starters, mains and deserts all served promptly and presented perfectly and cooked to perfection. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, hope to go back one day.

Great food, good service & no heating, we were freezing! We have been visiting Grasmere for over forty years & the cost of dining just keeps rising. Today we are now paying above average prices for just an appetiser never mind the main course & the owners don't even heat their restaurant; am I missing something?

Wonderful food and service last night and the Salmon was lovely , my husband had a Fillet steak and again cooked just the way he likes it - would highly recommend .

Excellent service and delicious food and plus it was right next to our hotel. Would be top of my list next time we stay.

What can I say, it is a must to visit, we.went back twice during our stay, excellent.menu and great staff, very welcoming and dog.friendly even cooked.a.sausage for the dog, one of my.favourite restaurants in grasmere, thankyou.guys.xx

My husband & I dined here a few years back & throughly enjoyed it, so of course we re-booked during our stay in Grasmere. Again, we couldnt fault the food it was amazing & the service very efficient. The only thing I would say is that the rave going on in the kitchen was slightly distracting… didnt seem to deter the chef though so not sure if its a complaint or not?!

You aren't going to get better food anywhere. The pork belly is devine, excellent service from friendly staff. I don't need to say anything more.

We always come here for dinner one night when staying in Grasmere. Great food and choice of drinks with fantastic service. We shared a scallop and black pudding starter then I opted for the seabass as a main which was delicious and my hubby chose the pork, he said it was melt in the mouth tender and quite a large portion. We skipped dessert but had a Cheeseboard to share accompanied by a glass of port each. Cannot fault and can recommend.
