Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food. Friendly staff!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereA hidden gem! Great food an d very friendly service. Well worth a visit with a good selection. So good we went back a second time and weren’t disappointed. The chefs curry was really good.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereThe most delicious food. A restaurant not to be missed. The salt and pepper prawn starter was fresh, delicious and delivered a multilayered depth of thai flavours. Both the pork and lamb dishes were flawless. A perfect bottle of Barolo accompanied the perfect meal. Carrie our waitress' service was excellent. A thoroughly great venue.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereClearly a popular place to go. Food was delicious and the front of house team very welcoming. Would happily recommend and would go back.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat food. Both my wife and I had fish. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The sweets were also fabulous. The restaurant is relatively cosy which contributed to a nice atmosphere which at times got a bit hectic. However staff dealt with is amazingly, being quick able to change to a very calm manner with customers. Overall great evening.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat meal, nice helpful staff. Very good wine. Healthy portions. Definitely worth a visit.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent meal here recently where the food and service compared most favourably with other nearby eateries. Our shared prawn starter was superb, my pork main cooked and served just right and my partners sea bass reportedly perfect too. We had saved a nearby bistro that had had big press coverage for our last night but Lewis’s knocks spots off it. We will happily return. Lovely staff and very friendly service too.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWow wow wow, what a find. If you visit grasmere give this restaurant a visit. The menu is far far more extensive offering different food to pub grub. I had ostrich fillet, first time in trying this, but boy it was bloody gorgeous. Hubby had chicken kung po, the chef came to it table to ask him what level of spice he liked. Very reasonable priced. Will defo return when next over in the lakes
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereWow, we loved the two nights we ate here! We highly recommend this bistro for delicious food cooked to perfection. The fillet steaks were the best we have ever had - juicy & full of flavour. The Sea Bass were tasty and well presented. Service was excellent. When we next visit Grasmere we will certainly visit again.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFantastic food, could not fault it in anyway. Service and food 10 out of 10
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereAn unassuming little hideaway offering a surprisingly extensive menu. The food was both excellent and plentiful with the service being friendly and attentive. We visited on a quiet day (hence the reduced score), but when full, I'm sure the place would be buzzing. Wish we had found it sooner - but we'll certainly be back again next visit.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereHad a really lovely starters (garlic mushrooms) and dinner (fillet steak) yesterday. Both delicious but the fillet steak was cooked to perfection (med to well). Hubby had black sausage and pork belly, both v good Also ice cream pud shared. Great atmosphere had lovely nite. Server's nice. Bit more expensive than the pubs but worth it.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLast minute booking. Food excellent, service brilliant and friendly atmosphere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFirst visit but a really good find and we will certainly eat here again. The food was delicious, I had belly pork which was drop to bits tender. My daughter had chicken which was also beautifully cooked. All the accompaniments were of an equally high standard. After a starter and a main course we were too full to have a desert. My only criticism is that the portions were too large particularly the belly pork. I am only too aware of people in this world of ours are starving. I felt really guilty leaving so much food on my plate.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWhat a find! We had a great evening in Lewis Bistro this week. On a Tuesday night we wondered if it might be quiet - not a bit of it, several tables were turned over twice while we had dinner. Great service, delicious food, generous portions - highly recommended. Booking is a must - no walk-ins available on the night we visited.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThird time we have visited here for an evening meal. Gorgeous food, looked after us really well, even the dog got a treat. See you both next year, thank you.
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereVisited on a Saturday evening for 8.15 service. Booked in advance as a result of recommendation by friends. Just as well as the sign on door said it was fully booked. We were shown to our table in the window, the best table in the house in our opinion. Both the staff who dealt with us, the one who showed us to our table and the one taking our order were friendly and professional despite the place being very busy. The wine was ordered and arrived quickly. We decided against starters; my partner had the surf and turf and I had the fillet steak with a peppercorn sauce. Both dishes were delicious and the steaks were tender and cooked exactly as we’d ordered. By the time we’d ate them we were full and couldn’t manage desserts. That was not a problem and the staff left us until we were ready to leave. The prices were on a par with what is charged locally and I had no complaints. Would certainly visit again
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal during our recent visit to grasmere. Everything was cooked to perfection and possibly the best salted caramel cheesecake I have ever tasted. The team were exactly as they should be pleasant, friendly eager to deliver a perfect service. Definitely visit again on our next trip.
